Just a few quick ones as I’m hoping you’re clearer than me on these issues following your conversations. I couldn’t work it out from reading the oxvox site.

1. What is the strategy of the new regime?

2. What is the ownership make up of the new regime?

3. Have they provided you satisfactory explanation for the two winding up orders received from HMRC this calendar year?

all 3 Q's raised, publically (4 days ago) at the OxVox open members meeting (21st Nov at CPF)OUFC MD and one of the new directors Zaki were there as guest speakers.... Sadly there were NO real answers to those 3 (and other ) Qs

there is a thread on Yf where the OxVox open members meeting was discussed/ covered . ....there is a synopsis/ overview within said thread provided by YFs mainmain @Eaststandboy that gives an insight to what was asked etc... official OxVox minutes from Oxvox open members meeting due 'soon'

here you go @Ricky Otto .... link to the thread here on YF ....https://yellowsforum.co.uk/threads/oxvox-meeting-live.1476/

it runs for 4 pages

As an OxVox member ( NOT an elected OxVox committee member) that makes me, and every other of the 1020 Oxvox members eligible to respond to your OP / with questions..... OxVox is OUFC supporters trust, made up of its members,...... OxVox members, who democratically elect a Committee to oversee the running of OxVox ...... perhaps it was Oxvox committee members who you were putting your inquiry to?

if you're not already a member of OxVox (?), presumably you aren't?.... you can join quite easily via this link ....http://www.oxvox.org.uk/join-oxvox/

there was an Oxvox black Friday membership offer, which as its now Sunday has probably expired?

So I had seen that thread and I have absolutely no idea from that thread the answer to my questions.

Also the obsession with membership to me is absolutely bizarre. It seems to have been a thing for years now. It’s irrelevant if we have 1 member or 10000 members if the organization can’t get answers. It is a distraction for the organization that appears to have become some sort of barometer of success. Why on earth is that the response to asking questions about the clubs position?

1 of those winding up PETITIONS was issued in error as tax had already been paid.

I imagine that was a timing issue rather than the idea that somehow we had been completely efficient and on time with payments. Winding up orders don’t happen by accident and so there would still be a red flag to an underlying issue

No-one appears to know the answers to 'your' 3 questions (outside of the boardroom) ...despite those questions having been asked meeting wed last both by Oxvox committee members to relevant OUFC directors.....and additionally asked directly, at the Open Members Oxvox, of the MD and director Zaki .... Oxvox committee and Oxvox members (plus members of YF) are on the subject of all 3 of 'your' Questions very much on the receiving end of the proverbial Mushroom treatment (kept in the dark & fed 'manure') by the board. The board have been asked those and other questions, as yet the board have yet to provide an answer (to any of them). Far from ideal IMO ....how would you suggest anyone gets a straight answer from the current OUFC directors then @Ricky Otto? ...direct questions followed with pressing and probing follow up questions at the Oxvox open members meeting, with both Oxford Mail and BBC Oxford representatives there proved to not be fruitful.... perhaps sneaking up behind OUFC MD getting him in a headlock while giving him a few Chinese burns may get answers?...I doubt it myself, as its rumored that no one at OUFC can answer any questions nor can do anything/ say anything without the Owner, Tigers explicit permission. I'm not in any way claiming to be ITK at all, however, it is a rumor that's been circulating for a few months now. If said rumor IS proven to be correct, it answers the question as to why (other) questions remain unanswered

the point re membership is that OxVox is its members..... the committee are elected by the membership, its Oxvox supporters trust committee who are elected to represent OxVox members interests including in meetings with various OUFC officials, directors as well as other related parties too .... OxVox membership incidentally, is made up of Oxford United supporters

BTW You haven't replied to my question as to whether it was OxVox (the supporters trust ) or OxVox Committee (elected by the members of the supporters trust) that your title of the opening post of this thread was aimed at? .... tis indeed a tad frustrating when Qs asked go unresponded to, isnt it ? ;)

2 in 7 months under Tigers ownership seems at best careless, Question is, IF a tax bill is missed twice, IS there a cashflow problem?

HMRC dont tend to issue winding up orders by accident, as you say, a second one, issued days after Tim the finance director is appointed borders on incompetence I think, ...or as mentioned, begs the question, is there a cash flow problem? , which given the wealth of OUFC directors there shouldn't be, which leads onto a follow up question why wasnt it paid, on time? A question that OUFC directors avoided giving much of an answer to the ins n outs of, only' it'll be paid, 'soon', nothing to worry about type of reply

Oxvox committee to answer your question.

I understand why membership is helpful for funding but in reality numbers above a few hundred are irrelevant and have been a big distraction. If the primary fans organization asks questions in public and through the media, then they will have just as much visibility and weight regardless. And here we are talking about representation rather than the issue.

In terms of the response from the club, it is quite frankly utterly unacceptable the inadequate response. At the point at which you get to this far in with these questions unanswered it’s beyond lazy or disrespectful. It’s clear that it’s deliberate and being used as a smokescreen to buy time without challenge and scrutiny.

If the club (Tiger) wish to make such a position their policy then I’d be clear that without clear answers by x date then a press release would be issued by Oxvox stating no confidence in the strategy as it doesn’t exist. There’s no point in towing the line and building rapport or relationships if they deliver nought in return.

If anything you’re then being used and inadvertently being counter productive. A lack of robust and firm challenge from the primary fans organization could be seen as tacit approval of Tigers strategy. I know and like the Oxvox committee but I don’t think currently they’re challenging this silence robustly enough. And I know there are some tough characters amongst them so I’m confused if nothing else.

Winding up PETITION not order in either case. Not good enough by the club but also not what everyone keeps saying it is.

At the point at which you get to this far in with these questions unanswered it’s beyond lazy or disrespectful. It’s clear that it’s deliberate and being used as a smokescreen to buy time to pass time without challenge and scrutiny.

I agree that responses ...actually make that lack of responses by OUFC board/ MD/ owner is unacceptable and inadequate,
challenges in the form of questions have been made/asked. It does seem that the rumor that our current owner appears to be actively
blocking his MD from saying anything, to more or less anyone, on any subject regarding OUFC matters, without Tiger giving his explicit permission for anything to be said may well have more than a grain of truth about it?

Cheers for replying :).... Im not, nor would want to be an OxVox committee member, they put in many many hours FOC in the very thankless task of representing the Oxvox supporters trust membership, but, I do appreciate the work they do put in on a voluntary basis

Its been, err, winding me up..... that theres been two of them in 7 months (both under Tigers tenure), and that OUFC board members will not give any real insight into how its happened , or for that matter why.

Maybe if 'we' err, petition the board, 'we' may get an answer? though I doubt if any real clarity to the situation will be offered , which also is err, winding me up too....I do think that the mushroom treatment being meted out to the OUFC supporters , by the OUFC board is bang out of order myself !

cheers for explaining the difference between petitions and orders @Banbury2018... both helpful and enlightening :)

Mustn’t happen again either petition or order.
