Hanson in!

Another Derby fan here.

Really happy for Hanson to get his move. Someone on our forum remarked that he was a “victim of his own versatility”, and that nails it for his time with us.

Hanson is 6/10 at everything in every department, and this meant that our previous 4 or 5 managers have used him as a utility player to cover for injuries. When called upon, as has been said, he’s never looked out of place - or shied away from a challenge (literally).

This short-termism, however, has hurt his development. He’s been thrown around in different positions in play-off chasing Chapionship seasons, where he hasn’t the time to try new things or learn his craft. As a result, he hasn’t learned one position properly yet.

Hanson is a blank canvas. He needs a run of games doing one role. He can pass, tackle, shoot and dribble well - but it’s time for him to learn to be excellent at something.

Oh, by the way, he can take a set-piece! That’s one thing he does excel at.

Easily has the potential to be a top Championship player. Really smart acquisition on your part. Quite a few Rams will be following your progress now Brusier’s signed - best of luck for the season.

Nice to see decent rams fans on here praising a player who has dropped a league, I went on the rams forum just after we signed him and most said he never really found a position to call his own, hopefully he can do that here and excel.

The more I read about Hanson the more excited I am. I think we have got a really special player on our hands. Really hope he is fit for the Pompey game next week. Welcome to a special club Jamie COYY

Thank you for that.
Interesting to have supporters view of the club the player comes from.
He has come to a club who wants to developing players so hopefully this will suit everybody

Unfortunately not seen anywhere near his best so far (I hope), judging by the Derby fans' comments when he joined. Think he, like Garbutt, Smith etc., aren't hitting the ground running because of the state we find ourselves in

If we have so many players who can’t get themselves going and are better than this, doesn’t that only lean in further to the theory that, actually, the problem can’t be solely to do with them? If this player, that player, that player, that player are all underperforming collectively and consistently, it’s highly suggestive of a much greater underlying problem. The more good players we get on paper who can’t turn it on, the more damning it is of those organising and coaching them.

So far the only player that’s stood up for Robinson (according to the OM) is Curtis Nelson. You know, the one refusing to sign a new contract and so had the captaincy stripped from him...

Eastwood was behind KR too on RadOx commentary last night. But then publicly what else are they going to say?

In public they are always going to back him. You can’t tell me that behind closed doors that to many agree with making Baptiste captain. Probably think its a bizarre decision like the rest of us.

They said the players suggested Baptiste as captain vs Man City
