Just bought tickets for this fixture. Normally like to get seats as at our stage of life (bone idle) standing becomes a bit of trial. Logged on to the booking site just as the clock struck 17:30 and. . . . . . no tickets available. So, am I to believe that in a couple of seconds all 74 seats were sold? All the reports from the terrace side mention not seeing much of the game, not much point going if you can't see the football. About time they sorted themselves out and built their new place!

i think its 'restricted' view pretty much everywhere in the ground where Wombles currently play ?

arent they supposed to be moving back to Plough Lane at somepoint in the future?

Heard there was a problem with them, won't be fixed until Monday.

Just phoned up all seats went within 10 minutes of going on sale Friday - terrace for me orange box or periscope :=(

Got a call this morning from Christine in the ticket office, a lovely lady with whom I have had many a conversation when buying tickets. There had been a problem and this had led to all the seats being reserved rather than purchased. She had two tickets for me and arranged the refunding of the two terrace tickets purchased already and processed payment for the new.
A real bonus to the club for having such staff and I have emailed the club to say so.

They are moving to the site of the old greyhound stadium. Demolition of the old stadium is taking longer than originally planned due to the amount of asbestos found. Believe it will initially have 1 permanent stand and 3 temporary stands so they are not borrowing so much up front.

Cheers for the info @OUFCGav:)

That sounds more like a ground share at the skip!

I know a few older fans (aged 70+) that need seated tickets where possible, so if the seat tickets were available online only at 1st, they would not have a chance to get them.

Can they not just ring the ticket office? Staff there are pretty helpful with such stuff. :)

If anyone has any links/leads to tickets for this please let me know, very keen to secure some if possible!

Thanks all

I would have to agree with this. It's a shame but realistically processing on-line means far less work for the very limited number of staff and, allows tickets to made available at any time of the day or night.

In this instance with only 74 seats available and, some of those on the front row offering a very poor view, it was always going to be difficult.

As it was, there was a glitch and no seats were available from the outset. I was lucky, I contacted the club, by email, and got two tickets over the phone on Monday morning.

The most annoying part is the restrictions that Wimbledon have placed on sales. We used to get a far greater allocation of seats, practically the whole seated area. I could understand if Wimbledon could fill their ground but, do they? I think not. (same thing at Wycombe - daft and surely counter productive in terms of income.)

I thought it was a league ruling that every club had to provide so many covered seats (about 400?) for away fans. Which is a reason why Dagenham & Redbridge built that good stand behind the goal for away fans. But I suppose the likes of Accrington & Gillingham (not covered?) would not meet this requirement hence possibly not correct.

I've now got to work Saturday so we've got 2 spares tickets for the terrace. Will take £15 per ticket.

If you're going to buy from the ticket office, I'd appreciate it if you bought these instead as I'm currently out of pocket!

Can meet at the game
