KR interviews

I'm afraid that this hyped up post match interview style is not doing KR any good at all. I thought he was embarrassing yesterday. Some of what he was saying was accurate and that which wasn't was frankly irrelevant. My concern is that this 'style' transmits itself in his dealings with players, and even if it doesn't, he fails to come across as a measured thoughtful man. Compared with Appleton he's an amateur and needs to be far more measured.

Everything he says is designed to cajole the Oxford fans. Throwing players under a bus to ease the pressure on hiself isn't an issue. I'm not saying he's a bad manager in every aspect or I won't him out, but the Oxford fans are smarter then he thinks (we are not flattered by being called educated). I agree he needs to become more measured and reserved in interviews. Appleton was superb at it.

Some have short memories - Appleton was under severe pressure in the winter of 2015 when we lost to
bottom side Hartlepool at home and he made reference to white noise etc etc in his post match interview.
The fans were were becoming very restless and many were calling for his head including me. I was wrong to do that.

I'msaying Appleton in genral was more measured in what he says then KR. Finding examples were he wasnt doesnt make this untrue.

KR’s interviews after the game on RadOx are slightly mad at times particularly after a poor result, followed by Paul from Sussex who talks in riddles and contradicts what he said the previous week.

It’s so bad at times it’s entertaining!

I would like KR to improve his pressers but right now I’d rather he focused on the team. When we are flying in the league we can nit pick on other things

People have short memories.
After 6 months people on here were calling for MAPPs head, suggesting that he was clueless and had no plan!
He was accused of not showing passion as he quietly stood by the touchline when we were Losing far more than we were winning.

I don't think KRs touchline performances are helping us with referees, it's having the opposite effect of what he thinks he's achieving. They must talk to each other some of the decisions on Saturday appeared to be with one finger up to KR

We all want the manger to have passion for our club, but KR is going way over the top. His interviews are becoming comical. His sideline antics are more worrying. His constant bitching at the 4th official and ref is going to earn him bans and a reputation with refs.

If we were getting the results then no one would care what KR does or says. Mourinho was loved for his 'honesty' when his teams were winning but is now seen as being a bit dillusional when he loses. Klopp was praised for his jokey manner when winning, but seen as a bit of an idiot when losing. Even Wilder had his fair few fans when he started and spoke his mind, it was only when results dropped away that he was seen as being 'chippy'.

The reality is that 99% of what is said to RadOx is irrelevant. Pep was criticised for being quiet and too positive. MApp was seen as too arrogant, with big arms and tattoos!! It's all shite and meaningless!

KR doesn't come over as being at the upper end of the intelligence scale. MAPP is a master of the post game interview, calm, measured and yet honest.

The difference was that we an excellent CEO who knew what he was doing. The same cannot be said today.

What an odd comment.

Not at all is this an odd comment. I cannot imagine Mark Ashton allowing Robinson to act like he has been. He backed Appleton 100% because he believed in him and ensured we signed quality players, the same cannot be said of our MD.

We also signed some awful players at the beginning and MApp had more than a few interviews where he came across naive and arrogant. Wasn't his plan b to go back to plan a etc? Didn't he question the home support and refer to 'white noise'? Let's not rewrite history here!

Agree. Many many flagged off MAPP. Even Ashton was berated by a few for not firing 'his mate
KR is a manager who sounds far better when it is not just after a game.
A number of PL managers gave that problem.
