That’s a total p!ss take, how can they actually justify asking that price?

I guess its just the "new face" of football. Pretty much sold out according to the website. EvS.JPG

Makes no sense to me either - but if they have near as dammit sold all the tickets then they could say that they have pitched the price correctly.

I must admit as to not being surprised.

I have a ticket to go to see an average Premiership game in London. Price ? £60!
So I guess that Leicester fans are used to paying those kind of ridiculous prices so £45 seems a decent price!

What really shocked me was the cost for U16`s & Students.
Probably just part of the drive to stop those pesky fans turning up............ or pricing out the working class.
Season tickets for the telly in 20 years........... :(

Probably before that, with Amazon having all the Boxing Day fixtures we are at the start of PPV football, massive money in it for the big clubs and the big tech giants like Amazon, Google etc can blow anyone else out of the water.

So it strikes me that the good thing about this new Nations League is that countries are taking it more seriously than the average friendly and care - at least a little bit - about winning those games. It's a title to want to win, or possibly an embarrassing relegation to want to avoid, and could even be a backdoor into the Euros.

The downside is that those very few friendlies left remaining on the calendar - such as this one against Switzerland - are going to be taken even less seriously than before and are going to be viewed as an opportunity to go hyper-experimental and rest a bunch of stars.

There really is no point having them any more, except as a tune-up just before major tournaments. But I suppose as long as they can still sell out a Premiership stadium at 45 quid a head, money is going to talk.
