Inevitable. Linesmen and fourth official probably backed up the referee.

There is no point in appealing red cards at our level. Cynical I know.

Absolutely appalling. And when our central midfield was just starting to settle.
We really have had an unlucky start to this season.

Bet the FA never even looked, small club so they don't give a s**t!

I don't think it's even worth appealing at our level, unless it's a case of mistaken identity. They rely on the multiple cameras at Prem/Champ level to review the incidents, and without them incidents are often debatable and in those cases they will always back the officials at the game. Whether they are right or not!

This was never a red card, the standard of refereeing I have seen this season has been shambolic.

The only thing I would say is Hanson showed more intent in the challenge, whether that was construed in a negative way is quite probable.

The thing we need to be smarter about as a team is to run 20 yards like their players to hound and influence the ref into a decision. It’s a said state of affairs but this is now a part of the game and as the old saying goes ‘if you can beat them, join them!’

I do wish refs would get their cards out for that. Let the captain talk to the ref (respectfully) - if anyone comes up and starts shouting at him, crowding him etc, just book them. It is gamesmanship (i.e. cheating!) and teams that don't do it suffer - and so (as you say) end up having to do the same themselves.

Chris Williams said to KR on IFOLLOW Interview that it's a 4 game ban, How's it that many games?

Wes got his reduced to 2 game ban to make matters worse for what could have been given for us

He got the ball first and was clattered. The FA by not rescinding the card are guilty of protectionism. No one is saying the ref was blind, but mistakes are made. This is another case of the innocent getting penalised.
