Floodlights

In my view the club. Its the club who are responsible for the match day experience, its up to them to get away from the seemingly petty disagreements with the stadium owner and do what is right for the people who are paying the admission

I was told by a steward at the Palace game that it was not up to the club to get rid of the birds much all over big areas of seating. Sorry do not buy this as it is completely the responsibility of the club. Its their responsibility to ensure the stadium company put it right, while it may be contractually the stadium company's responsibility I really so not want to hear the club blaming anyone else

BTW Kath Faulkner has picked up the mantle on this one. Lets hope the next 2 weeks sees some cleaning taking place

OHS - SWP - Responsibility to provide a safe and healthy environment for staff and visitors.

Even less working tonight on the North Stand than there was for the Coventry match a fortnight ago

A non-Oxford supporting friend was in attendance last night and questioned K*ssam. I told him to look at the floodlights if he wanted proof and he couldn't believe it. Barely any floodlights switched on/working on the south stand, similar on the north stand too. This stadium is a joke, anyone have a wrecking ball?

I often sit in my seat wondering how safe the stadium actually is, even though it probably is!

Swansea fans may have been thinking the same but the Liberty Stadium recently came under safety scrutiny too with structural defects. Our stadium is definitely not maintained and is a couple of years older than Swansea's!
It does make you wonder, I've heard the Kastad would require an astronomical fee to fix up if we were to ever acquire it from you know who... That's without any 4th stand or concourse developments too, scary. Do we really want to purchase it?

No

If we did purchase it, we could sell it for homes if another site becomes available... I hear a place called Water Eaton might be viable :p:p

It would give the club the ability to take more income from match days, but I can only imagine the state of the place. But it may be a lot cheaper than building a new ground, sadly.

I hope you mean WE as in OUFC, not Tiger?

At the end of the day we can blame Kassam, probably quite rightly. But the responsibility for the delivery of the match day sits with Oxford Utd, the pitiful lighting on Tuesday does not help the viewing experience and that is down to the club to resolve. They do not reduce the admission because we are scrimping on the lighting so it really is up to the club to stand their ground and resolve it.

I really do not want to hear that its up to the minimum standard for League 1 because we are not a minimum standard League 1 club structurally.

The lights should be set so we can actually see the game and not have to look through poor lighting to be able to see.

Yes there are issues with Kassam but not sure I see why its the paying public that should suffer. Needs sorting and quickly

Well its probably amongst the safest in the league. Look at the likes of Portsmouth, I have no idea how that away end gets a safety certificate, the staircases are a nightmare and if there was an incident then there is no way you could get people out quickly

The Kassam needs a lot of work but in reality there are probably few that are safer. Lots of other things wrong with it but that is probably not one of them

It is not up to the club contractually. I suspect that contractually Kassam has to keep the lights up to League standard. This he will argue, he had done.
Who knows whether Kassam would even let the club make the changes (something the club is already paying for)
Incidentally on Saturday there appeared to be far more bulbs working?
