Ex Player Rob Dickie

Been sat here trying to work Run DMC’s ‘It’s Tricky’ into a chant ... ?

Looks like a good signing. Back to hoovering up youth talent and selling it on for a decent bunse again.

Happy with this based on the reaction of Cheltenham and Lincoln fans - as let's face it, that's all we really have to go on. I spent a solid 7 minutes meandering through Twitter for my research

Age, height and the fact that he seems to be a ball playing CB makes this a promising signing.

And here's a nice aggressive song, featuring bad words:

Rob Dickie is magic, he wears a magic hat.
And if you throw a brick at him, he'll head the f*cker back.
He joined us from the plastics, he realised they were sh*te.
AND WHEN WE WIN PROMOTION, WE'LL SING THIS SONG ALL NIGHT.

Bad yes. But I do miss the atmosphere the Roofe chant created for us - especially at away games.....

How dare Eales stick to his word and spend money on a young English player! Does he not know he needs to go against what he says so people have a reason to want him out of our club?

In all seriousness this looks a good signing. I would expect to see Martin moved on in this window as it has just not worked out for him here.

I’d keep Williamson for the remainder of the season just for his influence in the changing room.

Unsure on Raglan as it all depends how he does when fit.
Williams has no presence in the changing room. Nelson runs it.

I'm encouraged by this signing.

What pleases me most is not the fact that he appears to be a good young player, who is rated by those who have seen him play, but that our transfer policy seems back on track. He is an Ashton/Appleton type signing, an asset on the balance sheet as well as on the pitch and perhaps a little bit of evidence that our club is not going down the pan and losing its identity.

Two or three more of these please.

Love this signing, not just the type of player we’ve gone for but also that it shows a renewed positive statement of intent (hopefully)

Well he is the captain but out of interest how would you know that Zach? Sorry I mean Clive.

That is very rude Mr Denis-Smiths-Wig, can you confirm the connection between clive and Zach? either way I do not care but it would be nice to have a balanced view

Chuffed to bits with this, back on track brining in fresh young talented players who can help make us grow as a football club, yessssssssss.

I would love to see his reaction if that was adopted as a chant.

Brave man that tries a version of the Muppets / Little Richard classic “Rob-a Dickie, I’m awfully fond of youuuuu....” first. I’m sure the rest of the Mail Stand would be right behind them.

Good signing but doubt he'll go straight into the team. Only 38 league appearances at League 2 level. Got a feeling he'll really push on here though said:
Will be interested to see if he makes the bench tomorrow. He made one substitute appearance in the Championship for the Plastics when they lost 3 - 1 away at Blackburn, last game of the 2015-16 season. Played all of the second half.
