Transfer targets?

Nicky Law released by Bradford. Only just turned 30 in March and would be a great and vastly experienced midfield general.

I'm sure he won't be short of takers but I'd definitely put a contract under his nose.

To think that we’ll probably have to sign 2 players a week if KR wants his squad by 1st July, exciting times ahead!.

I've figured it out. All our transfer targets are playing in the World Cup and can't make any decisions just yet.

Makes perfect sense to me. :D

Very unlikely our squad will be completed by 1st July.

What qualities does he have that would make him a worthwhile signing?
Got a friend from Essex who told me he was a battler who often had head wounds bandaged up and continued playing on before going hospital after. He scored some good goals too. Not seen him myself so don't know but if Southend just released him he prob isn't that good...

Kal Naismith, mentioned early in this thread, has gone to Wigan.

Bit jealous of some of the early moves. Mark O' Hara (Dundee to Peterborough) was definitely the sort of player we should have been in for, with our recruitment network in the Scottish leagues.

Mark O'Hara will definitely be a great acquisition for Peterborough. Good midfielder who gets forward and scores a few decent goals. He would probably have chosen the Posh over us anyhow, as he may have heard from a former team-mate that soon as he had a less than brilliant game, commentators on here would be criticising the level of the game in Scotland! He'll put in some decent performances over the season.

I have to admit I'm a little surprised we haven't announced any players for our U23 squad yet. Didn't we have trials recently where 40+ players turned up? Admittedly, I may not know who they are, but I still thought we may have signed at least one of those by now.
My guess is that we will announce a whole bunch of U23s together rather than one-by-one, just as we get the young pros to sign their first deals on the same day as each other too.

Entirely plausible. I think CA said he expects the squad to be around 16 players, with players from the first team and youth team filling in. Needless to say there has a to be a lot of actitvity in the next few months, across all squads, to be ready for next season.

Matt Smith of Man City just made his full Wales debut and Man City looking to send him on loan for the season - great option if we could get him. Think he'll be at a championship club but would be worth enquiring!! He's only 18 and a great talent!

Problem is maybe Ashley-Brown and Rickets May have rubbed off on him

Joe Riley released by Shrewsbury. Gave us a good year pre Baldock. Proper right back with a mind to get forward and get a decent ball in the box. Alternative if Kane doesn’t sign and adds a bit of reassurance to Cameron ?.
