Now we know who we are playing next year I started thinking about where we are likely to end up.

The options in ascending order are
1. Getting the 50+ pointss to avoid relegation
2. Finishing in the lower half of the table (12th 15th)
3. Finishing in the upper half of the table (7th to 11th)
4. Finishing in the playoffs
5. Winning the playoffs
6. Automatic promotion,
7. League Champions

I would love the bottom options, but Iam inclined to go for the 3rd and 4th options myself. This is based on the fact that Clothead left such a shasssmbles of squad that Karl Robinson will need to a massive revamp. Such a massive revamp that it will take at least the first ten to fifteen games to getting thing working smoothly (maybe even longer). The will almost certainly men that there will be a sizeable gap with the top to catch up on. Maybe I am wrong an Karl will do a miraculous job and we will hit the ground running in top gear.
Whar do you think?

It's honestly hard to guess with so many unknowns at the moment. It'll be much easier to gauge where we are towards the end of the summer.

My hopes, however, are:
- Not have to be worrying about relegation towards the end of the season.
- To go to a few more away games next season. I don't go to many but I'd like to go to at least Wycombe, Portsmouth, Luton and Coventry.
- I've never had Singha beer. So another hope is that it's not disgusting. Can't taste much worse than what is currently on offer in the stadium.
- Decent football and atmosphere at home games.

I'm quite easy to please really.

Not having to worry about relegation at all please.

Should aim for top half really.

Yes same here yellowbow - if KR has had players in his sights since the last league game then surely we will be announcing something this week?

I thought of something else - a decent cup run would be nice. Our failings last year were not only embarrassing, it somehow made the season feel even more flat.

Yes a decent run in either of the proper cups please.

Hopefully we treat the Abomination Trophy with the contempt it deserves to be treated with

Option below 1 is that Tiger doesn’t turn out to be a complete fantasist and actually has the funds and legit backers for any of 1-7 to happen.

Seeing as plymouth looked completely out of their depth for a significant part of the season, yet still made the playoffs and we flirted long term with the playoffs and came closeish to relegation. I find myself unable to really find any clue as to where we can hope to be.
I just hope that we are more competitive than last season and see where it takes us.

Autos for me, with the stadium question finally resolved. Failing that, would be satisfied to avoid: relegation, administration/liquidation and a royal rogering at the hands of the Mackams.

There are many big clubs in this league for next season (attendance wise) that we would do well too finish above. Sunderland, Portsmouth, Bradford, Plymouth, Charlton, Coventry, Luton, Bristol R, Doncaster and Barnsley.

I reckon about eleventh place for us.

Two realistic scenarios:
1. Tiger mostly talking nonsense. KR resigns. Hello L2.
2. Tiger does fund a top 8 L1 budget. In which play offs or near enough as KR is not Pep- i.e. he will buy players who can actually run for 90 minutes

For me the realistic picture is thus;
A finish between 10th and 7th, but hard to predict when we don't know who the new faces are.
A strengthening of the club in all departments.
Some kind of movement where the stadium is concerned, although this is perhaps more 'hopeful' than 'realistic'.
The addition of some starlets.
And here's hoping;
Less bitching from fans who seem to glory in the conspiracies they construct from behind their keyboards.

Those are opposites under the heading of realistic, I'm confused....

Yes please. Some of the posts on here were absolutely laughable last season.
