Did anyone else sit through that?

I didn't have very high expectations, but blimey what an awful advert for the English Prem. Chelsea didn't really want to attack and apart from very short spells, Manchester United were incapable of looking threatening either despite having the ball for long periods. Played at walking pace most of the time, with the ball being retained for the sake of it. Manchester City, Liverpool or Spurs would have at least provided a bit of class and pace.

Dull, dull, dull.

Edit - and Jones was bloody awful. Are we really taking him to the World Cup?

If I were to spend £89M on a player I'd expect him to be able to head a ball.

Yep. Would take Smalling over Jones who is a clumsy shitehawk.

I think I would have turned over if Man U had taken the lead, but I didn't mind the game on the whole. A final will always be a cagey affair, especially with two negative styles. I had low expectations but any time Man U lose a final is an enjoyable occasion!!!

The FA cup has become a side show, many clubs no longer take it serious until the latter stages, two of the dullest top tier teams involved and the quality of football on show was poor.

Pogbas miss was awful.
A poor game but that was no surprise.
Man U need a few more decent players to challenge. What on earth do Man U do with Pogba?

Think we could take him on loan if he’s willing to rebuild his career on league one wages.? see other thread.

I used to love and look forward to the FA cup final and very often you would see an exciting game played with real passion. However recent finals just seem to be an end of season training session that players don’t seem bothered about.
I shall watch the FA vase and Trophy finals on the box today and I’m sure it will be a much better watch.

It was dull but with Mourinho's team involved it was always going to be thus.

Always thought Jones, I mean Stan Laurel is awful.

The priority of money has sadly turned the FA Cup into an inconvenience for the top sides

The winner yesterday received £3.25m. West Brom made £97.5m from broadcasting rights alone despite finishing bottom of the PL.

With those figures bandied around, it’s not hard to see why the FA Cup is viewed as an occasional bonus rather than any form of priority.

A very quiet Wembley with what appeared to be many empty seats.
Two ultra-cautious teams apparently trying to bore each other into a blunder.
Sad to see what has become of the FA Cup Final.

Mourinho thought his team should have won. Maybe they would have if the manager didn't make them play so negatively.

Today Ive been mostly rubbing down paint on the shed ready for a coat of primer....followed by weatherproof topcoat later ..... reckon watching the paint dry will be more entertaining than yesterday's FA Cup final in the entertainment stakes:confused:

They have the players to play an expansive game but that is something Mourinho will never adopt now unlike his 1st spell at Chelsea.
