Up and running

I appreciate that not all experiences were the same, but I found entry really easy. A number of stewards stood away from the entrances checking covid passports. Of those of us going in together, they were checked for being valid and in date. And because we all had them good to go on our phones it only took seconds. Having said that, I had no idea that there was an LFD station around and heard no reference to it.

Ditto. One old chap in front of me showed his vaccine card and was refused entry but the steward didn't direct him to the LFT area, someone else in the queue told him. Glad it's not required at the next game as people were still entering the ground 20 minutes in to the game trying to find their seat. A lot of it is people coming unprepared and not allowing enough time to enter.

Weird. My mate only had his vaccination cards and was let through.

This was the east stand. I do think a bit of common sense was needed by the stewards this old chap was over 80 and looked confused when they refused his vaccine card.

@OUSP Secretary were stewards informed of the LFT "tent" as my mate didn't get told about it when they refused him entry.
Yes it was in their briefing notes and I spoke to several to check they knew. Would be helpful to know which gate this happened on, perhaps he could email us.

Exactly. The gates were opened half an hour early and I was watching round the East stand/east end of South Stand, people were not arriving particularly early despite us and the club sending out reminders. 2.30 people started turning up. Even without Covid checks that it pushing it to get 10000 in.

He's not very tech Savvy, but was the gate on the right of to he East stand, as you look from outside, can't remember the number.

He knows it's good fault, but knowing the LFT facility was available, he would have seen to he game.

The stewards should have told him about the LFT stand. Will flag this up.

A senior with us showed a picture of a flow test on his phone and was allowed in….

Likewise the youngest who didn’t show anything. Wasn’t even asked his age, he’s 18 btw.

Glad this nonsense won’t be happening again anytime soon.

Regarding the LFT mobile at the ground, I didn’t know and I was getting signatures from a group and they asked me about the covid pass as 2 ot then didn’t have their pass and I couldn’t tell them about the LFT as mobile as I didn’t know, so yes that could have been advertised more.

Perhaps it's just me but if you've had countless communications about the need to show a Covid passport or NHS-verified evidence of a LFT test and you still don't turn up with it, then you get what you deserve if you miss some/all of the match.

Frustrating for those people but they have to take on some responsibility to follow simple instructions.

Same a chap asked me if he needed a COVID pass for the game he was an oldish chap he had forgotten his COVID pass and wasn't sure if he could get in the ground that was by the tunnel in minchery farm if I had known about the LFT bus I could have told him

I’ve already signed, but thinking more about the newbies that were at the ground.
In my view, the people with the clipboards should be looking for the potential signatures NOT the other way round.
Also wouldn’t it have been an idea to have volunteers by the turnstiles collecting signatures. There were definitely none by the turnstile that I used for the SSU.
granted it was a very short way away from SSU & SSL ( fence end) turnstiles, however the 'main' OxVox petition signing point on Sat was in view of said turnstiles, just outside the side entrance to the Quadrangle .... and relatively busy too when I stopped to say hi to the OxVox crew there ( around 2.45pm..... ten mins earlier than my usual arrival pre kick-off)........ fair play to the covid Passport/lft checking stewards at that bank of turnstiles, even a technophobic luddite (me) was checked and 'ok'd' in seconds, all checking seemed to be very smoothly done

I still find it weird why a lifelong supporter wouldn't join the Supporters Trust, especially as its very cheap. And even more so with a possible new stadium in the pipeline.

Nothing as strange as folk, as the saying goes.

Blame a certain Mr Sennett….

And to carry that on.

How many members do Oxvox have per season ticket holders?

That should be the initial target.

He was me of the reasons I wouldn’t join but the met is in the past and Oxvox have had decent chair since so as has been said price of a packet of fags if you’re mad enough to smoke or 1&1/2 pints…..small change and it helps the club
