Transfer News January 2021/22 Transfer Window

Yeah, I'm sure chelters reserves defence was at full league 1strength by the time the youngsters came on for us ๐Ÿ˜€

That said, it would be good to see a young lad or two on the bench each week, although of course a lot of them are out on loan at the moment and only pop back for these BCD games
Charlie Raglan played for Cheltenham so would have thought that like Oxford it was fringe and a couple of regulars.

That's a better shout than Defoe. Both are London based which gives us a chance over the likes of Sunderland - in Defoe's case.
What about both - there wouldn't be many L1 clubs who could boast 2 ex-England Internationals up front - I'm not being very serious before someone gets excited......

Surely Defoe has to be the last remaining active professional player to have scored at the Manor Ground?
Only outfield player still playing in the Prem/EFL who debuted before our move away from the Manor Ground is Phil Jagielka, but he never played against us back then. Rest are all keepers. Though, like Defoe, there may be others playing abroad...

ROBINS: S Flinders (21), G Horton (9), W Armitage (2), C Raglan (13), B Williams (5), E Bonds (15), C Colkett (15), R Hutchinson (0), C Brown (12), K Etete, (23) A Williams (17)
Substitutes: B Hoy (0), J Hunt (0), F Miles (3), C Jakeways (2), A Sambu (0)

The ones in bold have signed for them in this window.
Number of first team appearances this season (for any club) in brackets.

If we are talking about ageing strikers, what about Andy Carroll. He is available after being released by Reading, younger than Defoe and is match fit. Not saying we are in for him or that he would want to come but he has loads of experience and would give us something different.
And would command a hefty wage

Hold up... that can't be correct... because...

Dannie Bulman.

Can't find anything saying he has officially retired but Crawley local rag ran a piece before Christmas saying he was working in their commerical team.
Certainly hasn't played a game since last season and hasn't got a squad number.

Thatโ€™s real squad depth when you can bring your commercial director who can play a bit into your team.
