how the f**k does he (Hill) get to' attend', and speak, ....yet no representation invited from OUFC (official ),.....or OxVox or anyone?

Maybe post that on twitter and tag Oxfordshire County Council in to it. Time to get the brown envelopes out board.

I don't think they were ever just going to rubber stamp it today after the plans were announced eight days ago. But the proposal (if I understood it correctly!) was that while the various consultations were going on over the next eight weeks, the various people concerned would still be talking.

Just in and read the OM coverage, John Hill knows sod all about football and obviously councillors were not all in agreement. I expected delays dirty consultations and so forth but did not think the initial meeting would defer a decision when all the decision needed was to allow a planning application to be submitted…….

Taking an objective view - 8 days from a proposal for a £150m development to approving it isn't very realistic given these personnel do need to represent their constituents. So a deferral is not a huge surprise but operation 'educate the council sharpish' needs to start now.
Absolutely spot on. I think we need to take the OUFC football hat off when thinking about these decisions.

I see your point here.

What struck me was that they seemed to be discussing details of the site that we have discussed on here as hypothetical as actually realities. That wasn't the point of this in my book. It was the very idea of moving to that that should have been discussed - not who we ground share with or where the current sub-tenants go just yet (although that was in the letter) . A rubber stamp at this stage isn't the green light to get the JCBs in - it could be rescinded if the Indonesian backers had decided to build a stadium shaped like a massive penis for example. It's the principle of OUFC moving there. It should have been yay or nay.

I think the owners now need to do a campaign of showing the OCC what they actually plan to do. Show us the plans in full, get the locals on board and get that decision made on the 15th March. It's another two months of waiting and time is already of the essence.

They were not voting to approve it only enter negotiations, really poor show

I’m afraid all that enthusiasm I had has gone up in smoke.
We have heard from those ITK that a lot of time and effort plus behind the scenes meetings have gone on
Something has gone badly wrong here because I thought there would just be a vote to proceed or not

I thought oufc had done all the backroom chat to the councillors already. Obviously not, or not enough.

Have to say after watching that I feel less optimistic.

Some councillors need to look into the experience of the board involved.

How can we get involved in the public consultations to voice our approval?
