I can't think of a better keeper to have graced the Manor / Kassam than Eastwood.
Paricularly in the light of the fact that he has played behind some dodgy defenders, with few stable permutations in front of him.

He's up there, no doubt. But still not at the level of Burton, Whitehead and Gerrard (the last of whom still remains the best keeper I have seen for OUFC, short though his stay was).

Whitehead for me. But he played behind Matt Elliot, Les, Mike Ford and Gilly. Awesome back 5.

I'd agree with that. I'd have Alan Judge ahead considering he was a regular in the top flight as well.

All fine keepers, and in Burton and Barron two 'characters' as well who rightly endeared themselves to the fans.
I still think that if you factor in today's greater levels of fitness and athleticism, plus the quality of the defence in front, Easty shades it for me.
No mention of Paul Kee yet...;)

Jim Barron and Roy Burton while the best of the rest they played in an era when the game was slower, offside was a completely different rule and the back pass was allowed, now you have a ball that is light weight and some defenders that aren’t.
So Eastwood for me but he needs to keep doing it for a couple of more seasons ?

We have been blessed with some very good keepers over the years but Jimmy Barron would be my all time favourite.
Roy Burton and when I first started supporting United Harry Fearnley were great characters

Porn star pal Lyndon obviously lol
as he scored a goal if my brain is still working on this hot day
