This is going to be a bridge too far I think. Whereas the odd 6/10 game can be compensated for in a normal game, every player not only needs to be on it this time, but even play above themselves to even have a sniff.

McNally (who I thought did well on Tuesday given his still relative lack of experience) had a few moments where I thought "a better player would have punished him there". Similarly with Seddon and Hanson's forays up front. And of course we are missing a focal point up front.

Pains me to say it, but 0-2 loss...

For those saying if we had our strongest team playing we would have more chance we’ll as obvious as that could be it wasn’t the case against Plymouth 1-3 so who knows having this makeshift team we have at the moment might just get us 3 points on Saturday if we lose well we move on to the next game
Have some faith turn up on Saturday bring the noise bring the colour and hopefully the boys on the pitch in yellow will take the 3 points home

Referee is Sam Purkiss

Ben’s brother? Hopefully so!

Spirit of Swindon 2012, I reckon. Patched up team there with Whing at CB and Tonkin playing a blinder. Down to 10 after Beano sent off and then two quick goals. 70 minutes of holding out with Scott Rendell running at the Swindon defence every five minutes despite no hope of getting the ball.

It can be done, boys!

If I could go back in time and see any game again, that match would be right up there out of all the games I've seen. Amazing day and atmosphere.

I'm going 0-0. I think the game will be ruined as a spectacle by Storm Arwen which is due to hit. Nothing worse than wind to ruin a football match.

I'd happily take that too given the circumstances!!

Their unbeaten run has to end some time so why not on Saturday. We have home advantage, players who can play, a new face in goal who has something to prove and three sided stadium .Anyone else who can add some more positives please feel free to do so.

McGunae as a number 9, he's shown he has the physicality to his game, and has the skill either to run at the defence or bring other players into the game.

I (obviously) think there are lots of things to be positive about.

We see how effective it can be when wingers switch flanks, and we have the opportunity for any of the front three swapping with each other. That can disrupt defences, and if gaps are created then that leaves space for Henry and Brannagan to exploit.

McNally is a little raw, but I think he benefits from playing alongside Sam Long who will talk him through the game. I actually think that Long is a more natural captain than Elliott Moore and provides leadership and 100% commitment to every challenge.

I'd also love to see Tyler Goodrham getting some game time. He is a totally unknown quantity to Rotherham but should be bouncing with confidence. I honestly think that he has the ability to properly break into the first team this season and could be our next big star. Give him a chance and we could see something very special.

Oxford 2 Rotherham 0 - Bodin scuffing his first and Tyler with a late breakaway worldie!!

It’s the 10th anniversary of that game next year - tenth! I hope the club being Oli Johnson or Asa Hall back for its anniversary as a club guest.

There’s a definite long read from the likes of Oxblogger on the match to be written. So many stories especially with Swindon on that extraordinary run of form.

A certain Billy Bodin also played up front for them that day too …

A biting westerly wind, coupled with fine snow, howling into the back of the East Stand. Bring it on.

I distinctly remember feeling breathless throughout the whole match.

There must have been about double the amount of people who were meant to be in my row, standing at the back of the East Stand, so being packed in really did feel like being back at the Manor.

The atmosphere, constant singing and tense game only added to that feeling of breathlessness.

An amazing few hours.

While it is undoubtedly going to be a tough ask on Saturday, a point is doable.
It won’t be easy but we do have some very good players in this squad and if they can step up to the task then why not?

I think we'll need to employ some shithousery like we did at Ipswich (allegedly)!

Approach it like an away game given the circumstances.

1-2 we’ll score early (as per), concede near the end of first half, fight valiantly in the second half but a lapse of concentration in the 76th minute will let them in and then they’ll lock the door.

Bit of a non-story putting two separate things together and making five.
1 - Beth Lumsden has been doing some training with the men's squad
2 - Injury crisis

Are women even allowed to play in men's senior football?

Going against the odds and saying we'll win 2-1. We could surprise ourselves
