General Stadium Disrepair

I've had an email this morning from Michael Boyle, Stadium Manager for Firoka.
He has apologised, again, for the poor standards and gave some detail of the work carried out to rectify the situation. He also mentioned that 33 new hand towel dispensers had been installed. All very laudable except that if 33 dispensers were required/could be sited, what the hell was going on before?

He also mentions that the likes of complaints made by us, the fans, are normally discussed internally with the agreement being that OUFC would make any public comment. All fine and well but, OUFC have not made any public comment. Surely, this is an ideal opportunity for the club to come out and back the very people who are held up as the life blood of the club? It doesn't need much, a simple thanks to all those who made the club aware of the situation and acknowledgement of the efforts by Firoka to rectify and maintain. Win, win all round.

Think me & Mr Doyle are besties now................... and the bit in italics are interesting.

"Many thanks for your email, I am currently looking at new tenders with companies that are larger and can guarantee staff who deliver to the standard you and I expect.

I am sorry for the condition on Saturday , and it is my focus for the next three months to find and then bed in a contractor I can trust. That said as GM it was ultimately my responsible and I apologise I felt short of the standards.

On the plus side another win, nail biting at times but a win."

:)

Aren't the urinals across the whole stadium "waterless" ? Certainly are in the east stand, which is why I always thought they looked so awful....
If they are then I’d like to know what liquid was cascading down the one I was peeing into at half-time. Perhaps you’ve assumed they were waterless due to them being sans cleaning agents for several seasons.

I think @Oxymoron is partly correct. Wasn`t it some sort of reduced water system rather than totally waterless?
I think they may have been waterless at one point. This relies on people maintaining them though and changing a part on the waste every so often. Maybe the water has been recently turned back on to the urinals which is why there was the problem in the NS

They were I believe supposed to be self cleaning, hence the metal badges that were on them saying DO NOT USE BLEACH OR OTHER CLEANING CHEMICALS on them. The stadium cleaners then did the exact opposite, resulting in I suppose whatever coating was on them being removed and then the resultant staining and rusting.

I have absolutely no doubt Mr Doyle went about his usual blasé attitude to the stadium and fans welfare until the influx of emails, complaints and uproar online. Enough to kick him into action and get the stadium up together. Well done all, hopefully one day we'll have our own home and Kassam, Doyle and Stadco will be a distant memory.

I had a similar response to my emails today too.

Like said company has been bought out by A N Other?

Would that in turn mean we reside at GR for a little while longer than expected?

Good old Google- "If the company no longer serves a purpose to you and you would be happy with it being closed down then you can simply allow the process to run its course. However, you should be aware that the strike off application may well be objected to if your limited company has outstanding debts or liabilities."

I'd have thought something as important as that would already have been filed.
But possibly notes on business disputes, post balance sheet events, future developments?
