I was simply stating that, if Fleetwood were in this position - we’d be expecting them to field a team and get the game on. Therefore I think we should be doing the same - assuming it’s feasible to do so.

Clearly we are significantly weaker, which isn’t great. But if no further players test positive and we can source a goalkeeper, then I’d suggest we have enough first team pros available to cobble together a team. Therefore the expectation should be that we play. Shitty as it might be for our chances of winning the game…
Fair enough but it was the fixture pile-up that triggered me :) - a few of my friends said this without looking at the sparse fixture list in 2022 hence my response!

Do not end a sentence with a preposition. As follows: This is not the stick with which to beat the manager. This was beaten into me by my English Language teacher.
Or alternatively, as Winston reportedly once wrote: “This is the sort of [grammatical] nonsense up with which I shall not put.”

This exactly the kind of advice we should all take notice of :)

Definitely should be cancelled now - too much of a risk & prevents the 8 Fleetwood fans from travelling!
The Fleetwood fans are probably all friends and relatives of the players. Even they are losing interest and having to come up with excuses for not going.

What, if Fleetwood had 7 key players out we’d exit t them to play? You’re having a laugh aren’t you!

Games get postponed if 3 players are out on international games, so times that by 2 and a bit, plus having no recognised keeper!

For what it's worth, I thought how a large number of fans reacted to Crewe and Swindon in saying they should suck it up and play was out of order (apart from Crewe bringing a positive tested player to the ground and the manager acting like a bell end, of course). I feel that empathy is needed and has gone right out of the window of late, treat others like you would like to be treated yourself, as they say.
It’s a bit different between 1 or 2 players not being available to 7

The international games thing is an interesting parallel but doesn't quite work. If a team has five players injured they can't call off the game, after all. If we can get a keeper we should be able to raise a competitive team, unless more defenders fall sick.

So is the search on for an emergency keeper now?

Not sure how we're going to keep the ball out of the net and put it in, but the midfield still looks OK :D

Lets all get behind the team tomorrow night!

You have a valid point @uptheus especially when one of the 3 is an u21 player
