Have you not seen the Stadium of Light? I think Charlie has done very well don’t you?
Can I claim a whoosh?

Sarcasm dear boy, sarcasm. I thought you'd remember the WE is great the site ever, oh crap the farmer won't sell me the land thing that went on... Over sold in a worse way than Enron.

Hopefully there is some football league ownership ruling that prevents people from posting on more than one clubs forum. Good riddance to him.
I'm sure there are ways round that just like having interests in more than one club;)
Just got to get somebody to front it, while they get their strings pulled by someone else.

Good luck to all involved hopefully it goes well for them they can suss out the championship for us chuck us a few loanees now and then make any mistakes up north then swoop in when the times right and take us back up where we belong

I think you are being very unkind with the remarks against Charlie. This is a man who has only had to best interest of OUFC at heart and has obviously worked closely with SD to try to ensure the club had a stable future. The fact that he may now be on the board of a club like Sunderland, just proves that SD has every faith in him, as he did when they tried to buy the club at the time of Ashton and Eales.

But he’s not a proper Oxford fan. A proper fan has no inclination to get on the board of another club.

He has taken every opportunity to run down the management (and supporters trust) of the club he purports to support. Happily insulting anyone that dares to disagree with him. This is why so many on here dislike him.

sunderlands directors can take wages of £9 million pounds a year, over double our budget.

Well according to your logic then is SD a proper fan of OUFC?? After all he took on a non league club and now a BIG club. The same can be said for Eales or Kassam (Arsenal fan) sorry but Charlie is Oxford United through and through.

I have meet him on many an occasion in Level 1 corporate. As James May would say "He's a bit of a cock".

That’s B*****s. You might not like what he says but he’s had SSU season tickets for years, been a trustee of the Y&C trust, represented the club at board level. Of course he wants to see the club be successful and sustainable.

I pretty sure Charlie has a season ticket in the directors box. Though I havnt seen him parading in his sun glasses in level 1 corporate for a long time.

Can`t have your own train set then playing with the big boys train set is the next best thing.................. he could take the Directors salary and buy WE and make the dream reality....... I`ll be dead by then, so will he probably.

I’d like to be the first to actually wish Charlie the best of luck... I have to say though I’m asking myself why you’d go and be a director of a club you have no affiliation with? What happens when they come to our place next season? Who does he support? Is this really all about chasing the coin? Are some things not sacred any more?? Rant over..too much wine already on a bank holiday weekend..

If the newly incorporated company Madrox is the takeover company for Sunderland then it would appear to be 94% Donald family and associates , and 6% Charlie and associates.

So where does the overseas consortium fit in? Is it actually a partnership between Madrox and ANO taking over Sunderland?

Obviously the private details of this deal are private, but it’s interesting to see that Donald who’s been the jilted bridesmaid in takeovers at OUFC has turned to a much bigger club in all aspects.

Given that any new stadium for OUFC in close vicinity to oxford as a city seem to have been kicked down the track, and the current stadium impasse with Kassam, even Donald sees OUFC as uninvestable?

Ps . Wonder what’s happening with Eastleigh ground ownership.
