No covid status - no go.

Lateral Flow/Vaccination History
All supporters aged 11 and over will be asked for proof of a negative lateral flow test result or double vaccination. If no proof of either is provided then no admission will be granted.

Negative lateral flow test
A test must have been reported and can be demonstrated via text message or email via NHS Test and Trace. The test needs to be taken within 48 hours of the time the stadium gates open (1:30pm). Ipswich will not accept actual lateral flow test sticks as proof.

Vaccination history
Proof of both doses received prior to 14 hours of the match. This can be documented by NHS app or via the Scottish or Welsh vaccination record services. ITFC will not accept the NHS Vaccine card issued at the point of the 1st vaccination.

Same as a couple of gigs I've been to recently, the NHS app has come in really handy for providing proof of vaccination.

Demanding 11 years provide proof is a bit strong. The whole Covid vaccine policing is an abuse of civil Liberties IMO, but that’s a subject for another thread I’d imagine.

Be interesting to know if all Ipswich staff and players are vaccinated. What with them demanding home and away fans prove that they have.

Seems hypocritical of them if that wasn’t the case. Guess we will never find out..

The other thing that will be 'fun' is "All tickets have an arrival time printed on them. Supporters should adhere to these times and arrive when stated. "

Not really, it takes 30mins to do a test at home (the test kits can be picked up free at a chemists). If you don't want the jab, fair enough, but a quick check to see if you are negative isn't really a hardship. I'd be more concerned with the 'specified arrival time' thing mentioned on another post in this thread, I can't see any justification for that.

Although I must add that from experience there is no actual checking of your result when logging it on the website, just a simple 'Was the test Positive or Negative' question, then on to sending you your confirmation email and text. Nothing to stop someone who is Positive answering Negative, which sort of undermines the whole process.

Even just obtaining the code from the test kit would then be sufficient, just send in a negative result notification, not even bother with the test. Bloody stupid!

Yep, you'd think that a photo would have to be sent in with your submission to prove you'd done the test and the result, but no.

They aren’t demanding that fans be vaccinated - proof of a negative test will also get you in

The whole civil liberties thing is a load of shite! Football, as much as we live and breath it, isn't essential. You are entering a private business and they put any restrictions on entry that they choose.

If you don't want to, or can't be vaccinated for whatever reason then just complete a LFD test that takes seconds to do and gives you a result in 30 mins. If you don't want to do either then don't go. Save your money. Spend it at a home game, or on a new kit, or donate to Mickey Lewis. But don't complain that your liberties are being restricted when there are +40k cases a day, over 7k in hospital and 145 reported deaths today alone.

Would be interesting to know if they do the same for every person who enters Portman Rd. that’s including all match day playing and non playing staff.

Stewards, too!!!

If it’s anything like Wembley for the euro final, you won’t get checked anyway as I found out when i offered my proof only to be told the steward hadn’t got the time!!

Only been on here a couple of weeks and it’s clear you’re the resident sanctimonious know-all.

PCR tests for children are ok? Don’t complain when a vaccine status is compulsory to allow attendance at schools, hospitals etc. It’s going that way.

Are you OK poppet?

Yes, PCR or LFD tests are perfectly fine for children and the all secondary schools and some younger already have weekly test regimes in place, and guess what, they cope perfectly well.

As far as vaccination status, I would calm down a little. Covid passports aren't likely to happen any time soon for the vast majority of daily engagements. And it certainly won't be a requirement for schools or hospitals. That's just conspiracy theory nonsense!

Enjoyed going last time as it’s a lovely ground to visit.
Alas won’t be going this time

Ok sweet pea, you carry on presenting your suppositions as facts. Meanwhile, in the real world there is evidence that this is exactly the situation that is developing.

Everyone will have the vaccine unless they want their lives to be majorly disrupted and the government is implementing policies based on behavioural science to influence corporate and individual decision. It’s Hobson’s choice; “well, I won’t be able to go on holiday without massive barriers so I’ll have the vaccine”. “I have to get my child tested every time we want to go somewhere, I’ll just get him vaccinated”. If they’ll do it for pop concerts and football, and everyone puts up with it, they’ll do it for schooling soon. You just carry on buying the government’s line and classing any counter opinion as a “conspiracy”. Now, you might well argue that the end justifies the means. The vaccine is safe and will save lives. That’s not how society works unfortunately. It circles back to civil liberties. If you allow the government to undermine them, they’ll use it for everything. Take a look at this link. Overruling parental control? Let’s hope they never do this for something you’re maybe not on board with, like medical testing, gender reassignment or conscription…

The manics were right. If you tolerate this…

If the children are Gillick competent they can choose to receive treatment, without the consent of their parent/guardian, if it is for their own benefit.

No civil liberties lost at all.

Sorry.

How about “ I’ll get the vaccine as it may save my life and those that I love”? Instead of thinking about holidays etc?
