Away Match Day Thread 02/10/2021 L1: Sheffield Wednesday v OUFC

General fitness work is all completed in small bubbles, regardless of vaccination status. These bubbles eat, change and train separately. It's only the game specific work that is done collectively, and due to the movement of players no one breaches the "closed contact" regulations which is being within 1 metre for 1 minute or longer.

So while those who are unvaccinated may make up a bubble of their own, there will be several other bubbles in addition and we shouldn't start speculating who is or isn't vaccinated. Ultimately it's a personal decision, even if I think anyone not doing so is both stupid and selfish!!
Shame there are still a lot of antivax idiots out there

When the world looks like a scene out of Shaun of the dead they can say they were right

Some were positive in the summer and wouldn't have been able to get vaccinated for at least 28 days. So it's possible that someone positive in July would not be able to get first vaccination until August, and would then be waiting until October/November for their second jab. They would then have a further 2 weeks before being deemed fully vaccinated.

So whilst I agree that there are plenty of idiots around, I'm not sure it's fair to start speculating who has or hasn't been vaccinated, and their reasons for it.

I know I’m a soft c**t but f**k it, I’m walking away from Hillsborough fully nearly in tears, what a ducking unreal moment, absolutely nothing matches a 90th minute winner away from home, football is f*****g back, there’s nothing in the world that compares

Try Hot intimacy with a woman half your age, and slim blonde and Polish. Then your see some things do compare. 😂

No I’m not knocking the players but fingers will be pointed, just hope now the 2 that have covid if they’ve not been vaccinated will Joe do so and those who haven’t think long and hard.

What a result. Credit to the team and management.
Could our fitness be shown up more this season because of only three subs? We reach 60 minutes and used to make two or three changes but can't do that anymore.
Ref let an inordinate amount go for both teams. Have seen penalties like their one given...another day that gets given and we get nothing.
Hope it's only a few weeks out for Kane, we dropped off markedly after he went off.
Thought Thorniley, Stevens and Forde had good games. Holland is showing that he's "getting it" as well, two phenomenal tracking back tackles today.
I've had worse days! COYY!

We were comfortably the better team first half.
Thought we backed off them too much in the second, and let Bannan run the game to the extent that the equalizer was probably deserved and a draw would've been a fair result.
But who cares about fairness when you get a 93 minute winner! James Henry, you beauty!

Thought both Moore and Thornily were generally excellent today. Wednesday have a set of forwards that have a big reputation for League One, and they were made to look very ordinary indeed (not much they could have done about the goal, which to be fair was a piece of genius from Marvin Johnson.....although we should've done a better job of cutting the cross out at source).

Hope Kane's injury is not serious. After just a handful of games, he already looks like a key man for our promotion hopes this year.
I don’t think it was much a case of backing off, as the presence of Kane being lost . When he went off, his ability to not just give the ball back to the owls, but hold it up, settle, and let our whole team push out was dissipated.

I hope we do everything we can to secure him in January

Thought the Defence did great but Long looked like a guy just come back and not at his best

Tip of the hat to Holland today who looked composed and dictated our presence up front. I’ve been a critic of his before now.

Conversely Agyei who I like seems to just be one of those slightly unlucky / not quite nailing it / missed potential players
