Chairman Eales programme notes

Looks like Eales has had a word with Pep and told him there's no way he's going to p*ss more money away on crocks. Actually quite a strong stance for Eales to take, maybe coming more from Faz/recruitment Dept. if the rumours of disquiet within the club around Pep are to be believed. I also appreciate the apologetic tone around the recent results.

Or maybe I'm still drunk and reading too much into it.

Interesting notes in todays programme from our owner and I would say reading between the lines that Pep might be out of a job if he doesn't do turn things around in this window.

Not sure myself. I read it more as a “get behind Pep and the boys or p#ss off” message to the supporters. Can’t expect him to say anything else really... Good to hear that he intends to revert to the old model of young players with potential though.

So, if we left early then we are not wanted? The loungers can then find other ways to spend the £1200 odd on season tickets?
If we go to any form of entertainment and are not entertained then it is our prerogative to stay or go. We still remain supporters.

Is there a punchline?
Heard it all before from eales. Don’t believe a word he says, words are cheap, actions are decisive.

We have been fed this line before.
Sounds good!
So I guess that time will judge mr Eales’s latest statement.

Actions speak louder than words.

However I appreciate these programme notes, he does appear to be listening to some of the genuine concerns that supporters have.

Returning to a closer model from the past 3 seasons is the most interesting comment.

My guess he doesn’t trust Pep as much as he did Mapp especially regarding recruitment of players.

Let’s see what January brings on and off the pitch.

Interesting notes from the Chairman. Not a mention of the manager. The general tone is such that if I were Pep I would be feeling slightly nervous.

We lost our Head Scout Craig Dean to Leeds United early October, he had been with us since 2014.

So who is now Head Scout?

Would be interesting to know, now that we are apparently reverting back to our previous successful recruitment policy.

I know that Faz has the ear of Mr Eales and have a very good working relationship.

the current lord Baden Powell?:D

I read it that Mr Eales made a mistake changing the recruitment policy in summer 2017. I could be wrong but I thought Mapp said the club was changing the model as SND of the target players had changed. I think Pep was hired to execute that plan.

Ivo attending the game vs MK Dons, for first time.

I think Mr Eales has realised he made a mistake, learn a lesson, by changing the business model. I thinks its a positive.

As to it's positive impression, that will be first apparent when we see players arriving. Moreover, when we see players that have promise and can genuinely improve the situation. I remain sceptical.
