General Stadium Disrepair

Why did you not point this out to a steward? Maybe they could of done something to rectify?
Do you think honestly that a steward would either get somebody to replace the soap and had towels or do it themselves
There is no chance

Well if you don’t ask you don’t get!! Maybe they could or couldn’t do something, but you definitely won’t get anything done if you don’t ask!!

You may aswel saves your oxygen the stewards wouldn’t know where to start let alone how to help you get hand towel or soap 🤣

Well many of us have emailed the club and copied in M Doyle at the Kassam stadium so we are asking at a high level. M Doyle told us the club would be making a statement after he had met the club on Monday, so we asked so we will see what it's like tonight.

You could tweet the club - this happened a couple of seasons ago, I tweeted the club and it got sorted.

Yes I am aware that many of us have made complaints, I am not saying the the stadium is in good repair, I was just pointing out that what one person was stating as a point of fact was actually not the case where I was sitting, my seat as far from clean there was bird 💩 on the floor where I had to put my bag and my drink which wasn’t nice, I too am waiting for this statement and am hoping to sit in a clean seat not surrounded by 💩, however I will not let this spoil my football COYY

I definitely saw him talking to people in the east stand! Anyway I didn’t say what stand I was in!
Well we never saw him and there were no hand towels nor sanitiser and I did see him hovering around the south stand

It's not the fault of the steward and I don't particularly enjoy complaining.

If there is a concerted effort from supporters to address issues as I described then I will share my experiences.

I probably wouldn't have mentioned it but I knew from personal experience that what you said was untrue.

The Ladies have always been better serviced than the Gents, and probably treated better by the users.
However, that is edging towards "Broken Window Theory". EG: "They" treat it badly so why should we maintain or repair it .....so things follow a downward trajectory.

I understand access may be an issue thanks to the Slum Landlord but the Club officials should have been ahead of the game on the cleaning front considering the situation we are all in. Not just leaving it for 18 months with no maintenance.

Am I "jealous" of the person paid to do the job? Absolutely not ... wouldn`t do it myself, far too many folk to try & please.

Do I expect them to do their job? Yes.
I wouldn’t say the north stand toilets are treated badly, I don’t remember seeing any damage to anything. People go in, they P**s, wash there hands and leave, with the odd few trying to have a crafty ciggy.
The reason there has been a downward trajectory much like the rest of the stadium is because of the complete lack of maintenance and cleaning the area has recieved over the years by the stadium company.

I think we can all agree that the cleanliness and facilities at the stadium are disgusting and have been for some time. But with little to no use for 18 months and the need for heightened hygiene, it has become a much bigger problem.

Unfortunately the situation is out of the club's direct control, and blaming any individual isn't fair our helpful. I spoke with Andy Taylor and how we could do a "DIY SOS" type day where we get volunteers and local trades people in to give the place a makeover. I'd happily take the kids up with soapy water and a sponge to do the seats whilst power hosing down the toilets! But the terms of the maintenance licence simply don't allow it.

We have a shitty stadium and a shitty contract, and the sooner we get out of both, the better! The club were angry and embarrassed by the experience on Saturday, and had been given assurances that cleaning had taken place. Andy and N McW have been working to get this fixed, and if nothing else I'd hope that soap, paper towels and hand sanitiser is widely available tonight.

However, I'll also be taking my own hand sanitiser and a pack of wipes to give my seat a proper clean. We shouldn't have to, but I can take personal responsibility for my hygiene and I'd encourage others to do the same.

What can I say? You didn’t see him, I did and spoke to him! What are you trying to imply? That I am a liar?

Just a random thought bear with me. :)

I assume we have a set of keys?

We turn up and do said "DIY SOS" one Sunday, lets say a set of gates has been accidentally left open.

What are StadCo going to do? Call the police for trespass? Sue for breach of contract?

Either way it won`t be a good look for their corporate image.

No different to folk protesting like XR or similar?

So you’re saying I am a liar?? I definitely used the toilet and I definitely washed my hands with soap and paper towels!! I have no reason to lie about it, I am as disappointed in the state of the stadium as the next person, but I am not going to say there was no soap etc just to complain when there was these facilities!

He`s not implying anything, he`s posting his point of view and experience the same as you did yours. :)
Well he’s implying that he was also in the East stand, therefore implying that I was telling lies about the hand towels and sanitiser, also implying that I must be telling lies about the SLO being in the stand because he didn’t see it! Well if one person didn’t see it it must not of happened!! I have no reason to lie!
