We don't need to score more goals though
I'd argue that our scoring record isn't as good as it first appears. I think it was 15 League Games last year in which we failed to score? That's a third of the season. What we did do was smash a few teams which made our record look better than it actually was.

Flat Track Bullies, you could say.

Given our record against the better teams in the league as well it’s hard to argue against that.

It’s no bad thing that we turned over the poorer teams comfortably, we need to keep doing that and improve against the top ten to have a really good season.

Yes that’s interesting. Few more ‘ugly wins’ needed.

good point that....

Our last line of defence looked vulnerable at times because the first two lines, although technically good enough, could not offer suitable protection.

Not much of a goal scorer, but a player who always seemed to cause us problems, and in other games I've seen him play. He can play across the front three and is a real menace, a ratty like player. Paul Smyth released by QPR, always looked really good when i've seen him play on loan a Accrington. Not strong powerful type that KR is looking for mind..

Signing or signed for Orient I think.

We don't need to score more goals though....we need to concentrate on our physical prowess throughout the team. If we can bag a striker who makes the ball stick up top who can chip in with 8/10 goals, gives defenders a hard time in a physical sense, and can help Taylor get to 20 league goals then we would be in a much stronger position.

We also need to be better at getting hold of the 2nd balls in our midfield. we need 2 more in there for me.
You forgot to say ‘transition’ - that seems to be part of the lexicon of every amateur coach at the moment.

Well with his scoring record he would have to play nearly all the games to get 8/10 in a season and we don't play two strikers!!

The interest in Harrison reminds me of Jerome Sinclair, his record before us was very poor yet Robinson managed to get him firing during his loan spell.

Ipswich paid £775,000 for him and Pompey £400,000 ..he must have something about him !!
He’s one of those players with something about him, my heart sinks a bit when he comes on as a sub. I think he’d be a good acquisition if he was happy not to play every game but I imagine we’d need to get rid of Winnall first.

Also heard that Mark Sykes is definitely looking to leave. At least 3 clubs have enquired and he will be allowed to talk to them. The £300k price that was suggested by Ipswich is in the right ball park, but it will almost certainly be undisclosed and will likely depend on potential sell ons etc. As with players coming in, Robinson is keen to see players leave early too, and we might see something happen before the club fly out on the preseason tour.

Would I be right in saying Sykes last goal for Oxford was that cross at Wembley v Wycombe?
