No matches, parliament in recess..... needs must. :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

4 years left on the current lease.
Uncertainty over "money"/ownership.
Stony silence.

And 4k folk wanting to buy ST`s....................
There will be stony silence until tue announcements(s) come (,if they dont)
You know that doesn't mean that a lot couldn't be going on behind the scenes

Apparently there is a "plan" - KR has said we are "ahead" of it? That's on the pitch
The off the pitch stuff has hit a problem - our money men have suddenly realised that "planning" takes a bloody long time!
We are buying the stadium.

To me (most certainly not ITK) this does make some sense. It’s a big site that already has a use as a sports stadium. Surely it would be easier to demolish and start again rather than find another location which won’t guarantee getting planning. Only problem is it requires playing elsewhere for 12-18 months.
And if it doesn’t get finished for whatever reason then we’re screwed!

Nope, think of a pandemic positive.
No away fans and possibly limited attendances.
Build the West Stand then work round the ground over a period of time.
Could probably start that in next to no time and have it finished before the lease expires. :)

With a long term conventional owner, that would make a lot of sense. But they may want to change the layout of the entire site. Particularly if more things are attached to the actual stadium. For example, the current South Stand wouldn’t fit in the footprint of the North Stand whist leaving access around the stadium. And I’m sure if a stadium does happen, it’ll be far more ambitious than our current South Stand.

Also, If these guys want to turn the stadium around fast and move onto the next project then building in one go would be far more cost effective

Jesus wept!

It's like some of you almost hope that we fail.

For the thousandth time, just because there isn't a daily stadium/takeover update it doesn't mean nothing is happening behind the scenes.

Missed opportunity....... the occasional drop of information keeps interest going, creates discussion, makes people think I`ll buy into this.

130 pages of circular debates doesn`t really cut the Colmans..............

Expect a "new lease on improved terms" to be announced because as sure as eggs are eggs we aren`t dropping plans for a new theatre of dreams anytime soon. ;)

Wrong on every count.

But again you give nothing of substance to back up your confident assertion, so it’s understandable that people go off with other theories. I heard they were going to push the stands nearer the pitch and then build a West one

No, and I'm not going to be enticed into doing so either.

What do you expect? A full blown presentation of the club's plans before they're ready to go public?

I know it's frustrating for people not knowing all of the details, and we live in a society of instant news, which breeds an expectation that things should be updated on an almost daily basis. But here's a thought to hold on to..........

If all of this stadium talk was nothing more than hot air (as some would have us believe) then the easiest thing in the world would be for the club to have said so on one of the many Five Minute Fans Forums, or press releases, or Official Website news updates, or club social media, etc etc, where they are constantly asked the question. But they haven't done so. Why might that be?

I’m not challenging you or fishing for details, just saying that you can’t blame people for having their own theories when there’s been nothing of substance released

It’s a very delicate situation, involving lots of moving parts, organisations, and very rich people, and a HUGE amount of money, red tape and planning, which is why all cards are being played close to their chests.

One way or the other, something will be decided before too long, and they can put us all out of our misery....

I don't know @Colin B but we both independently mentioned progress on stadium matters some 18 months or more ago. Neither of us have gone into details, but both have made it very clear that significant progress has, and continues to be made. There are then those like @Wallop who has a very good track record on transfer dealings and appears to be well connected to the club. I don't know them, but they regularly endorse comments that myself or Colin make on such matters. @Manorlounger and I disagree on virtually everything, but he has a very good understanding of what is going on, and others too can look at the make up of the board, their expertise and track records, and the fact that a new purpose built, multi-functioning stadium is the ONLY way that foreign businessmen will invest in a league one side. Added to the comments from Tiger, NMcW and Karl about big things happening etc and not a single denial from anyone over the last couple of years.

Now this might all be baseless speculation, and there's no better place for that than an obscure internet football forum! But I'd like to think that the posters mentioned above, and the consistent message that has been presented independently of each other, should offer just a little more credibility.

Time will tell of course, and hopefully the wait won't be too much longer.

'Cos.

If I were looking to buy the Kassam I would start off by making it look like I wasn't desperate. i.e make out I had a better alternative.

I just find it a bit amusing that if anyone posts anything about lack of progress about the ground either staying or going somewhere else the usual suspects get a bit shirty about it all, what will happen will happen when it happens, it's human nature to get restless over something that we as individuals have no control or input in the process, and like most aspects of it kept in the dark about it all

Must be one strong fella to push a stand.

time to take a step backwards people. this all started with idle speculation for a few pages then along came @Colin B to as good as tell us things are happening behind the scenes and then made it clear on other occasions. This though wasn't enough as more and more pages continued with idle speculation and so the same poster has popped back in to indicate and reconfirm that things are happening behind the scenes so maybe a little patience is required and try to accept that because snippets are not in the public domain does not mean all is dormant.
