League One Swindon on the brink

Starting next season in league 2 with a substantial points deduction a distinct possibility then?

I would like them to be relegated this season ON the pitch and then have a 30 point deduction carried over to next season. That way they suffer for a whole year, before the inevitable relegation into the National League in May 2022.

By then pubs will be open so we can all film ourselves cracking open bottles of champagne and celebrating their new non-league status, just as they did regarding our relegation in 2006. Karma............

Make this so. ^^^^^ (y) (y)

hardly a robust rebuttal.

I wonder how many season tickets they will sell when they’re advertised shortly?

Gutted if they do get deducted points and start next season at the foot of league two, will feel really bad for the fans that make that club what it is, hopefully the FA will be lenient with the punishment that they administer and look at their previous record of stewardship, can only hope they come out of this in a better place deserved by this fine club. no not really 😉

all looking very murky and the phrase ‘points deduction’ features in the article 😎
Wow, if the plan outlined is true then I can see some big individual fines/punishments but whether the club will be docked points or not I'm not so sure.
Their problem may come from running out of money if power pulls out/is banned.

Yep - even if no points deduction is forthcoming, Power is hardly likely to put funds over the summer given his ownership credentials are currently being questioned. This coupled with minimal season ticket sales (see link below) might result in a lack of new quality players and a very small playing budget. Bring it on!

What a terrible shame. I never wish ill on any other club when it comes to terrible owners. Would be so bad for them if they got relegated this season then got a deduction next season meaning they drop to non league. DEFINITELY don't want that to happen.

Ahem. Excuse me while I go laugh my tits off.

Would love to see them go part time.

I think that's the crucial bit. I don't want them to disappear like Bury did, that really IS too much to wish on a club, even Swindon. But the idea of them dropping into non league to suffer like we did... This does put a smile on my face.
