Fan's View Fan's View 20/21 - No28 - Fleetwood at home

Interesting stat about the seven wins coming exclusively against teams in the bottom half.

We really weren't great against Fleetwood. We'll need to be much better against Donny next week - that will be a huge test of where we are.

It's worth remembering that when we win 5 in a row at the end of last season we didn't look great at times against Accrington (despite winning 3 nil), struggled to put away a poor Southend side, and had to come back at the death against Shrewsbury.

Not playing great but winning is fine considering the way we battered Gillingham and got beat 3-1 and all the other games where we've shot ourselves in the foot! Let's beat Donny and worry about the performances later!!

I'm definitely happy to not play well and win, but I think we're going to have to play well to beat some of the teams in the upcoming run of fixtures. The boys will need to be at their sharpest to beat the likes of Doncaster, Hull and Pompey.

We can't afford another bad run if we are to make the play-offs due to our form until we dropped Eastwood this season. A crucial month in our season is about to commence.

Just glad to get a win at last against fleetwood, it always seemed to be Southend that caused us real problems, now in theory we nave no longer got a bogey team, a good read as usual !

I've always had Gillingham down as our bogey team - not sure if this can be backed with much evidence tough

Gillingham games seem to go through runs where they are on top and then we are. From the last 2012/13 season, our record is W 7, D 3 and L 2. The 10 games previous our record was W 0, D 4, L 6.

I have vowed never to go to Gillingham and get drenched in that away end again.

I've never had the pleasure of the side section but I think its obstructed a view. A dire place to go.
I've been on the side there and don't think the view is that bad. The away end is obviously like no other in the league. The most permanent temporary stand ever? On a nice sunny day the view from there is decent but otherwise nothing going for it at all.

In today's health and safety era im a little surprised it passes checks. Rickety.

Nothing like a nice chant of 'we're gunna die in a minute', followed by 'bounce bounce yellow army'.

I remember that vividly from the away FA cup game at Merstham - they had a temporary stand that *really* did bounce, bounce!
