HMRC?

Well that’s comedic timing.. bye bye all decent managerial candidates, they’ll all run a mile now. Congrats on the new job Faz..

Hopefully not if Tiger can convince them of his coherent plan.

Ah.

This could be explained away to them by the takeover process and being a mix up.

What is this? Hopefully this is not true...

I await the plume of smoke from our respective authorities - OUFC itself and the office of Darryl Eales (or, rather, his representatives on this board) - to find out how this has happened. After all these years of fashioning a "close relationship", we (or, rather, OxVox) applaud the chairman for "all he has done for the club", even while HMRC's lawyers are preparing the winding-up petition on, erm, the self-same club.

Truly, this is beyond parody. That, yet again, it is a humble fan who has dug around and found it out just says it all. Not entirely impressed by Tiger's Due Diligence efforts, either. Did it consist of an open-top bus tour of the University and a cup of tea at the Randolph?

On a serious, less sarky note, this is appalling timing. How are the players going to feel? What are prospective new managers going to think. It is an utter, embarrassing shambles. Dave said elsewhere that it was sort of Ok because it had happened to Orient. Enough said.

No I didn’t- that’s just more of ur bullshit. U really are a sad bitter person. I’ll rephrase my question again as u didn’t answer it. Seeing ur back to having a go at me for no reason.

Why were u asked to step down as a trustee of the community trust ??

Why can't I find this Ed Hawkins account on Twitter?

And OxVox are privy to Oxford United's tax payments how? Did you miss it was filed on the 14th? Well done on turning it into another anti OxVox rant yet again.

Well Charles has, yet again, covered himself in glory.

Это сделал Борис Джонстон ..

Statement issued in the last 48 hours...

I’d be more concerned if Eales was still the owner, Myles. As it stands, I’ll assume that this was a deliberate attempt by an outgoing owner to maximise a cash position during the takeover. If it happens on Tiger’s watch, I’d be more concerned. Eales is history and so is this debt to HMRC.

Maybe a statement from the club to come? Be nice for some clarity on how this happend? Because i wouldn't expect HMRC to issue a winding up petition for a debt that is less then 6 weeks old.

Little bit hasty there Charlie! Couldn't wait to have another dig, could you?

Well, quite. That would be a pretty low move though, not paying an outstanding tax bill and letting the new owner deal with it instead.

EDIT: It's also worth remembering that Darryl is supposedly still involved with the club, at least at some level, so it's not as if this is something which could've been missed in a "clean break" transaction.
