MK Dons reminded me a little of Southend last year.
It's all very elegant and all passing it out from the back every time - but when your back four are mostly populated with plodding lower league defenders, then you're going to screw it up several times a game, and give the opposition some guilt-edged chances. Our general energy and harrying up front was excellent today - if our finishing had been equally good we could have scored a boatload because they gifted us the ball in some incredibly generous positions!
Forde's ball for the second goal was a thing of great beauty.
I like Agyei - he's quick, strong and causes problems but he is not a natural finisher. His miss just before the third goal was inexcusable - any striker with confidence would have side-footed first time into an open net.
Nice introduction, Olamide Shodipo! Welcome to the Club!
I'd still like another defender, please Karl. We're fine for forwards.
All in all great to get three points in the bank. Let's make sure we win on Saturday, and then we can start to look up at the top of the table again......
