When manorlounger moves back to gods own country I am sure that the house builders will throw a box of chocolate hobnobs to seal the deal

Damn! Never thought of getting that added into the deal. Oh well, just have to make do with cash equivalent. :sneaky:

Chocolate Hobnobs? Eh by gum... when I were t’lad all I had were bits of broken glass to nibble on

A West Stand sounds nice doesn't it? Lots of kids can be dropped off at the pool pre-match!

Jenrick seems determined to ride roughshod over opposition from SODC and impose green belt housing development, including the next to the Science Park. I'm not sure how this impacts on us. Might it make it more likely that a deal could be brokered by giving Kassam planning permission to develop the overflow car park for housing?

If you read some of my posts recently, on this thread, you will notice that he already has permission. The change to planning legislation and the policies from central government make it clear that building must happen. Also, the local plan brought out by Ox. City Council makes it clear.
If it were possible to develop the entire site for retail, office, and stadium then it might make sense however, that isn't going to happen and anybody taking on the stadium as a lone develop is going to lose a fortune. Far better that OUFC use the stadium as is for a period long enough to develop a new stadium on a better site, one with potential for financial return to the developer.

Here is the post which quotes from that policy:
And, also within the Local Plan:

Can we get Richard Desmond as a backer for the stadium so any application gets through on a nod and a wink?

Unlikely , but if, Bicester was a location for a new, purpose built Stadium for OUFC, this discovery wont help matter out that way

It's about 7 miles from Bicester so not sure it'll make a huge difference!!

So much like GR.......................

"The sweeping lines of the facade protect the stadium from northerly winds and convey the fluid forms of the roof that shelters the saddle-shaped seating bowl which maximizes the spectator seating provided at midfield,"

Yep, just like it........

Im sorry but I now take everything that NMW says regarding stadium developments with a large pinch of salt.
