I really struggle to understand how he gets sacked with Salford fifth in the table, and having got them promoted from the National League last year. Paul Scholes in temporary control.
Cant understand why anyone would go there unless its for the money

Finishing 11th in the league last season with one of the top budgets, and (from memory) only winning something like 3 games in 2020. Only drawing with a side that had 7 first team players out with Covid and couldn't fill their subs bench.
It's Salford, of course it's about money - both the sacking and anyone wanting to go there.

Paul Scholes is making a run to be the Man Utd manager, so needs some experience for when Solksjær gets sacked. ?

Now there’s something you wouldn’t have heard in the 70s.

They were promoted in May 2019, so were in the National League "last year", but not last season.
It seems odd timing to sack a manager a few days before the transfer window slams shut. I thought Scholes had turned his back on management after his stint at Oldham. It will be odds on another ridiculous big name manager turns up there. Sven? ;)

i think the thought is they have a good squad of good (and well paid) players, they just need to be managed properly.

Irrespective of how "pants" we are we can rely on them down the road for a laugh.. :D
