League One Crewe continued ...

On their website, Brain of Britain 2020 also has this pearl of wisdom (my bold):

“It is no one’s fault. It is going to happen and we are not the only club to have suffered with this. I think we acted responsibly by telling Oxford and with this virus, it doesn’t matter if it happens on Saturday morning, an hour before kick-off or 10 minutes before kick-off, the right decisions have to be made because the safety of everyone is paramount.”

Well, yes it does. Because if you had told our club on Saturday morning, you would not have been allowed to rock up at the Stadium, spreading the virus about - and so the 'paramount' safety of everyone you were anywhere near would not have been compromised. He *still* doesn't get it, does he?

So what is the protocol for them (or any club) now?
Presumably Each of the four players isolate for what, ten days after their positive test & the
Rest continue to train/play as normal?
At what point can aclub get a game called off due to players having covid - 2?, 4?, 6? Players out?
How many have Grimsby had positive and what dictates when they can play again?

The other players will have tested negative so should be ok although it took Crewe long enough to test the whole squad after the 1st positive with Ryan Wintle which is one of my gripes. We tested quickly so the results came back before yesterday's game in plenty of time and have said it will be done again before the weekend.

I wonder if Crewe will test again because of the further 2 testing positive?

19 players if its Sale Sharks!

Sale forfeit the game which was re-arranged once............clear guidance and rules in rugby.

Guess who said this !

Completely right! That's why the questions were asked about whether anyone at the club was informed prior to Crewe rocking up. The cost to the club in additional testing and a deep clean of all communal areas is one thing, but the cost to everyone involved could have been so much worse. MD to MD, Secretary to Secretary or Manager to Manager, the conversation should have taken place as soon as it was known within the Crewe ranks. And despite suggestions to the contrary, none of those conversations took place.

Let's hope that knob head gets it too! After all, he seems to think it's nothing serious.
Let’s hope the EFL take the appropriate action against Crewe, especially after Arrells comments like “ we could have said nothing played but make them weaker next week “

This should be interesting, will they be able to field a team?

The irony of them hopefully having to field a weakened team after joking about doing the same to us!

That's a misquote of Artell. The sentence he spoke must be taken in the context of the previous sentence he spoke.
