Home Match Day Thread 15/09/20 Carabao Cup R2 - OUFC v Watford

Not bothered we won't be playing at Newport. But I don't like losing any game we should have won, do you?
I don’t like losing but not bothered losing tonight, yes it is a shame how we went out when we were all over them, a lot of positives from tonight’s game especially Forde who should start Saturday with Hall on to e bench. But not bothered about going out tonight in a competition that would mean playing twice a week so early on in the season putting some if not all of our players at risk of early injury.
No I don’t like losing but not to bothered about losing tonight.

I want silverware not money.....YES i am bothered that we threw that away
I want silverware but losing tonight was disappointing but not bothered in the slightest and the only silverware we might win if we’re honest is the s**t cup trophy and who knows the final might puss you off if the players take the knee before the game starts.

Get that ball into the box a bit quicker,we f**k about too much

Ladies and Gentlemen There is a New Joey Beauchamp in the Building (Sorry Scotchers i promised not to post if Dickie went to QPR but Cooper will fill Joey's boots and has a big future )

Liam Kelly is just physically not athletic enough. Players drift pass him and can not get back.. It is obvious he is a luxury we can not afford on the pitch at the moment. Team that up with Mcguane we have a slow center midfield mix. These 2 can not and should not play together. Forde looked good tonight and 100% deserves a place in the team on Saturday, his game play was excellent. Sam long is just the 100%giving player oxford fans love, maybe not the most talented but when he pulls that shirt on...

Their keeper had a blinder and, with a dash of luck, we could have been 3 or 4 up against a top Championship team.
Don`t think it`s time to be writing the season off yet.

I think Kip does have a bit of a point.

We look fragile at the back - horribly fragile at times - especially from set plays
and a clean sheet looks difficult for us to achieve currently. That's the truth of it.

All the goals in the three play-off games were cheap giveaways and it has continued into this season.
A mixture of poor goalkeeping , poor organisation and a lack of communication.

The goals we concede are pretty soft - it's not as if we are being cut to ribbons by great attacking play by our opponents - and it must stop.
