A once promising player whose career has unravelled. He's been in quite a bit of trouble over things he's said and done. An undoubted talent but getting him to apply that talent seems to be difficult.

Im surprised he has any time to reject bids with how much time he has to spend to beat off competition for players (normally much bigger and richer) who desperately want to play for him.

I think how exercised you are by whether we have signed the striker and the left-sided player yet depends on how big a pinch of salt you take KRs over-excited and premature pronouncements with. He does it every single transfer window without fail, so I just ignore it all until we actually hear a confirmed signing!
