Anyone know the date the lease ends?

Also I would be guessing there will be a cut off date of way before the lease end date to offer a final decision?

Summer 2026 is it not? Presumably between the end of the 25/26 season and the start of 26/27.

I have no doubt that there will be a cut off to make a final decision a long way before the end date, that concerns me..

You’d certainly imagine there would be something that needs triggering at least 12 months before the end date, although between Kassam doing what he wanted in 2001 when we moved and Nick Merry not having a clue what he was signing up for in 2006, it’s a bloody lottery.

I was thinking at least a year, if it is the case then it's not long now..

I no a lot off people don’t think much of nick merry but he comes in to my place of work on the regular and I have a few chats with him the other day he said there is absolutely zero chance kassam will ever sell the stadium. back in the day they offered 13 million for it and he wouldn’t even entertain the bid no interest whatsoever so imo the only chance us as a club have off moving forward is to get out of the kassam asap and get a new ground.

If he didn't think Firoz would ever sell it, then why would they agree a lease for so long? Surely the only thing you'd have in your favour is the fact that Oxford are the only potential tenants that could use the ground in its current state, and signing a 20 year lease makes it impossible for you to threaten to walk away and leave the stadium empty to force Kassam's hand.

The only positive the club has over the stadium is that, under Ox Council directive, the stadium cannot be demolished and developed unless, OUFC has an alternative stadium in which to play. If we don't renew the licence with Stadco but still don't have an alternate stadium in which to play, FK might find it difficult to do anything with the ground.

would be strange as they announced they had an agreed price for the stadium when they took over.

Mad when you see Wigan are selling their ground and training centre for £4 million all in!

Training centre being sold seperately for 1.5 million. Preston could be buying it.

4 million is to buy the club and the ground. Wether they actually own the ground for that I'm not sure. It could be the same situation we have with are training ground?

What would OUFC do in that situation in terms of playing matches, though?
