National News Labour Anti-Semitism Settlement

I’m not sure why you care about antisemitism when you posted something vilely racist in another thread last week - hopefully now removed. Or do you just want to knock the Labour Party?

Seem to have missed that........... care to link to it or is it just in your head?

Nearly a day later and they are quiet on the "something viley racist" comment I apparently made. They have logged in since then too.

Better call Wagatha Christie for her services!

@werthersoriginal posted on another thread but has yet to return here to point out the "vile racist" comment.

Methinks it may not exist...................

Pretty out of order , accusing somebody of posting 'vilely racist' comments and not being able to back it up?

Hey, i objected at the time to the poster and also reported it to the mods. I don't remember what thread it was in and didn't take a screenshot, OK?

I`m sure @Eaststandboy or @Malc can confirm it`s content and or deletion............... or it never existed? I think it may well be the latter....................
You think that a posting which I objected to didn't exist? Why would I claim that it did then? It's not as if there's a shortage of dubious material from the board Tories. And isn't it a bit odd to back up another board Tory without knowing what the post was?

So it existed but wasn`t "vile racism" as you alleged?
I`m intrigued now...... having looked through the "vile racist`s" posts I couldn`t find anything of the sort.
Maybe it`s a bit warm.............❄

A bit like those people who suggested that naming Exeter Chiefs was "damaging to indigenous people".....

Hmmm, strange that in a thread about anti semitism in the Labour Party one of the far left possy pop up and accuse "bored tories" of "vile racism" where there is none. How odd....

I guess they skipped straight from "you need help mate" after every post to "vile racism" and left out the normal racist card that gets thrown in when the going gets tough.

Just another example of why I dont vote Labour anymore.

Another repulsive post from me I bet.

Agreed to a small extent, although I’m finding it harder to work out who the snowflakes are these days. It seems very flouncy to decide your parliamentary voting preference on the MO of posters on a footy forum.

I dont, I wrote "just another example". The left are all over racism when it suits, find it where it doesnt exist, yet when its under their nose they look the other way or deny its there.

You don't vote labour anymore because people on internet forums make claims of racism that others disagree with?

I wrote "just another example", seems that has caused great confusion among the intelligent left on here. Perhaps I should have wrote "because they cant read".
No, no, no, we all get that. We just don’t understand why what people post is having any bearing on your voting choices, not necessarily the only thing.

I've never claimed to be intelligent.

You could call me left, I've voted for Labour in 5 of the 8 general elections that I've been eligible to vote in. I voted other ways in the other 3.

As a reason for abandoning a political party goes, I think the one you stated was flimsy. It's the only example you gave, so it's the only one I could comment on.

For the record, I don't like racism. That doesn't mean I have an issue with the reporting of the race or religion of covidiots, grooming gangs, human traffickers, football hooligans or slave-traders.

I also believe that racism exists among the right and left-leaning. Of all races.

Yep, that's where I am. That isn't where society, the Labour Party or this forum is at IMHO.

28% of people that voted Labour in 2017 didn't vote for them in 2019, in those two years the Tories spent most of it as a complete cluster f**k yet romped to a landslide win. That win wasn't so much because they gained millions of votes, more to do with Labour losing millions of votes. If Labour are going to be a political force again they need to get that 28% back and more on top. I found it very odd that in The Guardians "5 reasons people didn't vote Labour" Anti Semitism wasn't one of them, I don't know if that's because the Guardian believe Anti Semitism isn't important or they believe Labour Voters don't think its important. Looking at this thread it seems my reasons for not voting Labour have caused more of a stir than Anti Semitism itself, maybe there is a clue there. The usual suspects will be on the Covid thread and others waiting to jump all over any post that in any way suggests regional spikes may have anything to do with behaviour within minority groups. Their silence on this thread speaks volumes.

Starmer has done the right thing in booting out Long Bailey but the far left haven't gone anywhere. Will he keep them quiet and make Labour electable again? I've not seen a great deal of the shadow cabinet but what I have seen hasn't impressed me at all, for me Andy Burnham is streets ahead of them all.
