So, remind me when next season starts?

But we need:

A new keeper to challenge Eastwood
An older CB to partner Moore when Dickie goes
CF to replace Mackie

New goalkeeper. Centre back to replace Dickie, attacking left back and attacking right back.2 centre mids to replace Kelly, Thorne. 2 new strikers unless Taylor signs. Rw and a lw. That's minimum without anyone else leaving.

Am I the only one who thinks Kelly may sign on? At least for a year?

I think Kelly might be the most important signing of the lot. He looked like he's shed the puppy fat and was pinging the ball about like no one else, completely ran that show in the second half. If he was playing week-in-week-out I'd say we'd have no chance of keeping him, but if we can guarantee him starts, we could get him to sign.

6 weeks next season starts

wage cap incoming for league 1 (will EFL/ FA enforce it is another question?) - so it should be a level playing field , though decent loaness will play a very major part imo

Easty hmmm hasnt looked right since his injury imo

we have some really exciting young, home grown talent coming through the ranks, give em some game time I say

I reckon we'll be in the mix for automatic promotion next season ... IF KR stays

Could we afford him? Thought he was a good keeper

Possibly, I think he'd take the step down if given the No 1 jersey. He wouldn't have been on a huge amount as Easty's injury replacement, so perhaps we can give him his market rate if he becomes our undisputed first choice option.

Incomings
Replace the players we'll lose to the Championship.
New Goalkeeper (sorry Simon, control of the area is arguably more important than shot stopping in this division, which also means no to Archer)
New Right Back, and a Left Back too while we're at it
Liam Kelly on a permanent.
Marcus Browne is probably beyond us, but test the waters with a decent offer.
Matty Taylor on a permanent (hope that home town pride is enough)

Current Squad
Give the following young players a chance in pre-season (if there is one): Atkinson, Lofthouse, Adam Smith, Goodrham, Nico Jones (disappeared this season). Keep them in training with the first team squad if we can't get at least National League loans for them.
Be honest with Rob Hall and Napa. Judge them without sympathy for their injuries. If they're still good for the level, use them sparingly at first.
Make Sykes the first name on the team sheet. Agyei replaces Mackie as second choice striker.
Mould Gorrin into a DM who can judge tackles better. He commits to lost causes too much.

Outgoings
I think we all feel Dickie and Brannagan are givens.
Mackie - I know KR wants to keep him, but he's taking the space of someone we could develop into a first teamer (Fabio Lopes?)
Hanson - Real shame, but I don't know if he'll ever become the player we were hoping we signed 2 years ago.
Eastwood - Gutted as he was a hero only a week ago, but he's not getting better. So many teams in this league do very well with PL cast-offs, and we could be one of them.

There are a handful of players who could've been cast-offs that will stay and fight for places. I was encourage to hear Hally came back to training looking like a new player, and League One next season will be a chance for players like Rob Atkinson to come through and impress. I think inevitably there will be some big losses to the squad, but there's a decent core that just needs the right additions rather than complete wholesale changes.

Robinson holds all the cards. Unless he has a guarantee from the board that good money is available and he brings in who he wants early I think he will go. Hopefully he will stay
