I reckon we could all guess what the XI probably was, and barring injury I reckon it's the XI that'll start vs Portsmouth, so you'll find out in a few days

with up to 5 subs that can be used in the playoff games (?) , Im guessing most of the 'second' XI will be on the bench too?

I think the core of our team picks itself. Eastwood, Dickie, Ruffels, Gorrin, Brannagan, Henry, Taylor Browne. The big dilemma for KR is Long/Forde at RB (I would go for Longy just because he knows how much this means and he will leave 100% on the pitch). Mousinho/Moore at CB (This is one of the harder ones, Mous is so experienced and that will be vital but Moore was key to our upturn in form before the break, I'm inclined to go with Mous) and then you have Woodburn/Kelly/Sykes at CM (All 3 have strong cases, I think Kelly's fitness issues will leave him on the bench, which means it's between Woody and Sykesy. Sykes was in the form of his life and deserves to start, but everytime i've seen Woodburn he just appeals to me as a quality, quality player and his agressive & technical performance vs Gillingham early on was excellent. So I think he just edges it for me.)

That leaves me with..

Eastwood
Long Dickie Mousinho Ruffels
Brannagan Gorrin Woodburn
Henry Taylor Browne
Subs: Stevens, Forde, Moore, Adgei, Thorne, Kelly, Sykes, Hall, Mackie

That is some team for League one IMO, thoughts?

Summed up well the core of the team, and whilst I would say that Sam Long is nailed on for the starting RB role, there is little to choice between Mous/Moore and Woodburn/Sykes. I would go with your starting line up with the exception of Moore startinh over Mous, but certainly wouldn't be unhappy if it was the other way round.

Seen quite a lot of this on Twitter too, I thought it was no debate that our strongest back four contained Moore? He and Dickie were rock solid before lockdown and started the five straight wins together.

Think Mous has been sensational all season arguably one of our best players when fit, Moore would probably not have gotten back into the side if Mous hadn't got injured and that's coming from a huge Moore fan. And with Taylor undoubtedly starting ahead of Mackie, Mous leadership and game management will be crucial. While I rate Moore highly, I would just feel more confident going into our biggest game in years with Mous leading us out, but as Scotch said I wouldn't be unhappy either way. Lovely dilemma to have

I think with five subs per game being used, there's a decent chance we'll see both at some point in the play-offs. I don't think there'd be an experience vacuum were Mous and Mackie not to start - Henry, Eastwood and Brannagan are all leaders on the pitch - but if you do want experience it'd be in the closing moments of a game to see it out, and that's when we can bring Mous off the bench.

Why? Forde started 3 of the last 5 games.

I reckon it depends on the opponent. Portsmouth are going to be dangerous in attack, and Long is the more solid of the two in defence I reckon.

From what I recall from November, Pompey were robust and quick. I’d start Long, Moore and Sykes consequently. The rest as expected. Taylor’s fitness always concerns. Mackie will of course come on, shithouse the last 15 minutes of each game assuming we’re winning and appal the watching nation. I also think Kelly will play a part , quality operator.

They just mentioned our first leg during the L2 final. It's nearly here...

Apologies if I've missed it earlier in the thread.

But does anyone know if the game on Friday is going to be shown on iFollow overseas? And if so, is it going to be included in the Season Pass or will I have to pay again?

On the one hand, it would seem reasonable that it would be (paid for 46 games on a season pass.....only got 35) but then again, the EFL needs to maximize revenue right now so they might have auctioned off the rights to another broadcaster.......

It's the Independence Day holiday here, so perfect timing - I wouldn't even need to skive off work!
Thought I read that no license granted for iFollow overseas
