International News Donald Trump ๐ŸŠ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

According to the BBC news site, Trump toured a Ford car plant the other day.

The Ford bosses and all the assembly line workers were wearing masks. Trump too was wearing a mask until he saw the press were there. He immediately took it off and hid it behind his back because he 'didn't want to give the press the satisfaction of seeing him wear it.'

I would expect better of an 8 year old.

Iโ€™m just watching Stephen Colbert, and seeing the video of Trump on 1st March describing corona virus as a democrat hoax. And then this week doing the stupid mask thing.
Then watching Biden who definitely has senior moments that Iโ€™m not too comfortable with, but can string ten, fifteen or more coherent thoughts together. Trump canโ€™t even complete a single thought most times. Itโ€™s like a parody character Kim Jong Trump.

From the point of view of being a non-US citizen I'm not reading any substantive reasons for supporting Trump, apart from pure politicking, i.e. he's a right-leaning Republican, or pedantism, i.e. he's an elected president who some believe should get our respect for that reason alone, irrespective of what he says or does.

I think I'd be embarrassed to be a Trump advocate right now. He's obviously still appealing to a lot of Americans, but why?

Because theyโ€™re clones of uncle Donald.

Because, as with the left in this country, Democrats have been cast as the enemy, so it is anyone but them for a good deal, regardless of how distasteful or dangerous that may prove to be.

It's a brainwashing masterclass.

Got to laugh at DT trying to defend a cheeky round of Golf at Memorial Weekend when he ridiculed Obama for the same.

Every time I read something about Trump, I have to make sure I haven't gone to The Daily Mash by mistake. Unreal.
As long as they are consistent with it across the political and non-political spectrum, I don't see the issue with tagging it as such.

If Twitter aren't consistent, they will open themselves to a whole bunch of lawsuits, very, very quickly. A big move for them to make.

As an aside, I did laugh at Creepy Joe's racism last week. Imagine the outrage on here is Trump had said that?

Agreed.

What did Biden say?

Yep, consistency would be most welcome. What did Biden say?

Social media fact checking eh? Yesterday my wife posted an fairly amusing image on Facebook. It was a painting done in 1962 of what the artist imagined life to be like in 2022. Men and women (all in hats) driving along the streets of a city in individual little vehicles. Quite sweet, quite amusing.

Today, it has been greyed out as follows

Pretty odd. Do the fact-checkers know what it will be like in 2022?

Of all of the uninformed rubbish on FaceBook - can't they find anything better to check?

Yes, I know it is automated. Badly.
