Here in Leicester it is amazingly quiet and peaceful.

No professional beggars or tramps on the streets, no litter, Spring is in the air.

It`s nice to be out even if it is just en route to work. :) ?

Perth's a mixture of eerily quiet, normal, and unusually angry. Plenty of parking at Uni for once, though!

People aren't quite sure what to do, because we're going through the phase of politicians saying what you should do, rather than what you must do. E.g. today Scott Morrison said that essential workers should still go to work, and followed it with "all workers are essential workers". Children should go to school, but "don't send them to school if you don't need to". All very haphazard (UK -10 days).

Don't know as I'm in 12 week lockdown. Very quiet on the street though with the most activity being a builder a couple of houses down and a few households gardening. I put up a trellis for a Clematis which was nice and sat in the sun for a while as our back garden is secluded.

Pretty much like Sunday every day, but with the supermarkets open.
People stringently keeping away from each other, lines marked out at the cash desks in 2 metre intervals. Not many people about, some empty shelves but if you don't find it in one shop you just go to the next one.
Very, very quiet though. Roads less busy. Not as many kids roaming around.
Businesses are suffering, but very much a case of "we're all in this together".
Weather's beautiful as well, which helps.
Kids both doing schoolwork online on the cloud...I work from home anyway so no change on that score.

And this is a city of four million people, remember.

Headington ..., specifically closish to the JR,(Headley way/ Cherwell Drive area) .....quite a few vehicles out on the roads(unsurprisingly) ... people wise fairly quiet, and in the local shops everyone being respectful re distancing from each other and also no evidence of panic buying...albeit canned food, preserves and toilet rolls are 'awaiting deliveries'

Eerily quiet in our village in West Oxon.

Barely any traffic, the odd dog walker and jogger.

On our daily walk yesterday (one only) I said to Mrs YR that the streets devoid of traffic reminded me of my childhood when it was possible to playing football and cricket on the roads outside our homes without any fears or worries.

Got stitched up with a while you are out picking my car up and went to my local supermarket. Very busy with lots of bored kids and workers. Felt a bit odd seeing so many people, but the shelves were well stocked and I got the bits my neighbour needed.

Can't help but feel people need to be more thoughtful when shopping and not go in groups.

agree 100% @Gary Baldi

neighbours a few doors away , two kids off school, they're off out in their car 2 adults- tell a lie, 3 adults granny has joined them now!!... 2 kids and the dog.... its the third time they've headed out en masse today
They cant be visiting anyone in hospital -as that's limited & no kids
they cant be 'excersising' not for the 3rd time (so far) today- besides they have a sizable , enclosed back garden
they cant be shopping for essentials or visiting a pharmacy, as there's a (now) well stocked co-op, a pharmacy and both a pizza takeaway and chippy, plus an offy a 2 min walk away

seems to me that they're treating the lock down as some sort of holiday for them???

they were 'away' from Friday till late mon afternoon too

last week ( before schools shutdown) both she and he in separate cars, were in , then out, three or four times , each returning with carfuls of 'essentials'

some people, eh?

I was quite surprised after seeing so few people outside, to see so many in the shop just milling about. I would have hoped that people would have thought more rather than, as you say, treating it like a trip. I would suggest to people that supermarkets aren't a fun trip for the fam to get our, but an essential task to fill the cupboards, and that is it.

Even idiots were taking a full large trolley into the self service area and making those with baskets stand around for ages.

People need to think more and be less selfish

Not been out of the village since Saturday unless you count walking along the beach to Lyme with the dog in the morning - passed about 4 people yesterday and a few more today on a 2 hour walk. Odd that it's become polite to avoid the elderly then wave at them.

Ladyship and I are off to the metropolis of Seaton tomorrow to go to Tesco and get our weekly shop plus some stuff for (chortle) elderly neighbours.

A question: should one say "Be lucky, people" or "Be lucky people"?

Our village folk are relatively quiet and orderly. The bugbear is that bizarrely HS2 are still working devastating our countryside. If they kept to themselves that would be ok but they don’t social distance and then pitch up in the local shops. So we get a daily influx of people into the village from all over the place which ain’t a healthy thing.
I can’t see why building a new railway line is “essential”, maintaining one yes but not a new one at this time.

12th Day in (Spanish lock down) and its being extended to another 15 Days. From the very start it has been well enforced by the Spanish Police and well respected by all. People told the Law and are being heavily fined for breaking it. Three people caught out driving were fined 600.00 Euros on the spot. One cyclist here caught out and fined 300.00 Euros. This is a small remote Seaside Town I live in with around a population of maybe 3,000.The horrendous amount of positive tests and deaths in Spain is frightening. I have family in the UK and I genuinely fear for them.

All out for a game of Kerby!!!

Fancy publishing their address & giving the nod when they all go out next. Some could do with a free boat load of essentials!

Am actually quite vexed here in SGP (Singapore). Got wife who's 5 months pregnant. 2 boys in school. Girl in kindergarten & a live in maid.
On Tuesday late evening the school called me to say that my sons can't attend, due to my parents recent visit to SGP from Oxford.
The HoH (Ministry of Health) had stated that anybody from selected countries entering SGP from the 16th March would have to self isolate. Also, all those at that particular address would be subjected to isolation for a minimum of 14 days. They do check here & the penalties are stiff. Being aware of all of this, we felt it was safe for my folks to travel here before the deadline. They arrived in SGP on the 15th, cut short their trip & have already flown back & are safely at home in Headington now.
However, the MoH made an announcement Tuesday amending their dates to the, and from the 14th March.
The bottom line for us is, my boys had been to school, we followed all the guides & rules. The dates got retracted for entry into SGP by the MoH. My boys can't goto school till further notice. None of us are required to isolate. Yet, as a family we have been tainted by some living in our proximity. Those rumours have clearly spread quicker than the virus. Many think we have basically tried to blag the system, should be in isolation & haven't been responsible. We've lived in the same place for 6 years and with in less than 48 hours, locally labelled "that's the bad ang moh family".
My wife not particularly bothered said; in other parts of the world, Asians are being verbally & psychically abused.
