Refunds

Firstly I know everyone’s circumstances are different but I found it embarrassing that the club had to send a message out so quickly about refunds as people were straight onto the club to ask how they get their money back.
We have just seen from our accounts that the club made 4 million pound losses last year, the club will be hit hard by cancelled games vs MK and especially Pompey. Yet we have some fans that can’t ring the club quick enough to get their £20 back.
I find it slightly more embarrassing when I see our fans asking for a refund and then you have fans like Chester’s who are sending money into the club to compensate them for the loss in revenue.

sorry for the rant but it’s made me feel slightly better.

Totally agree with OP, i appreciate people all have different financial situations but for the club to have to release a statement within hours of the original decision shows how many people must have been in contact.

You have to remember that there are certain levels of fan, at the bottom are the people who see going to a game as nothing more than part of their leisure pound much like going to the cinema, these people will look to get a refund. I can't imagine there are any of that group on this forum.

Usually I agree but we have already seen fans who have ST’s ask the club whether they receive a partial refund after the collapse of Bury earlier this season.

It would be interesting to know whether these fans have an opinion on the state of our finances, what they thought when the club needed to sell Fosu and Baptiste and how they feel when the club doesn’t throw money at players just so they sign a 1 year deal.

I certainly won't be asking for any money back from the club for my season ticket games. My ticket for the away game at Wycombe is a different matter since they get the money.

Of course hopefully the match will be played eventually, so I won't need to ask!

I'll happily write my season ticket off, if it comes to it. And I accept there is a genuine chance it will.

Wouldn't say no to a hotdog though. ?

I don't really get the concern on people who have asked for refund ? not everyone is stable financially but all shed out for one common love. If they want a few quid back for games that no ones will be played what's the problem?

Nobody has lost any money: just the ability to watch the matches they’ve paid for. There’s a difference. No need to claim money back you’ve assumed you have spent.

Luckily have no season ticket but I do have £15 membership- if no more games this season have calculated they owe me £3.87 if no more games played. Have been trying to get through on the phone but so far no answer!!
The cost of a successful phone call will all but wipe out your refund. I'd take a bottle of hand sanitiser in lieu.

f**k it 5 home games left and apparently some ST holders want some sort of refund, s**t you’ve already saved money with the games you’ve seen so far and you want some sort of refund how much £10, £20, £30 ffs leave the club alone.......is it worth the hassles for the club and the bother for you to ask?

What a bizarre way of looking at it. I've a gig booked in Manchester for Saturday night, plus £100 for a hotel room. By your logic I've lost no money because its already spent, despite the fact no music has been performed and no service supplied?

Strange take. Why shouldn't people want money back now and re buy tickets when games resumeIf you've brought 2 or 3 tickets it could well be £50 plus, this could effect people financially not just the ability to watch football,
