General Jan transfer window

Strong rumours KR and the board are bringing in a few native americans to help with scouting? ..... it makes sense ,after all KR and the board are decentish loan arrangers!

Baptiste is the real star imo, would be gutted to see him go, if he can stay
Just to throw it out there...Brentford were meant to sign Baptiste before his injury so it’s not great shock they have come back in for him. Fosu has a release clause so not much the club can do if it’s activated. I have a feeling Fosu may regret this move though IMO.

no need for some of the dramatics from some fans. Especially towards the owners. The makes losses every year and there has been a lot of investment gone into the club so I don’t blame tiger recouping some of the money.
Dramatics?, I think it is normal for fans to feel upset, demoralised, angry, a dream has been fed to the fans and tonight that dream has turned into a bit of an nightmare, I for one am devastated, just a few weeks ago everything seemed in place for a fantastic season, tonight it all feels rather shallow, that bubble has most definitely burst.

Fact of life for a club of our stature letting our best players go for less than they’re probably worth. We have to stay sustainable financially.
Baptiste has yet to fulfill his potential and is injury prone so not a direct loss to us. I think Browne and Holland are players are seen as players of greater potential than certainly Fosu
(In fairness to Fosu a lot was asked of him during our injury crisis)

I’d be a lot more cheesed off if it was Dickie and Brannagan who were the ones sold

Eastwood
Ruffels
Dickie
Moore
Mousinho
Long
Gorrin
Brannagan
Thorne
Kelly
Henry
Holland
Browne
Woodburn
Taylor
Agyei

Plus tomorrows business...

Failing to see the panic here?

If the figure is closer to 4mil as we are to believe then I am absolutely not bothered and we are laughing all the way to the bank.

I’m not particularly bothered about Fosu to be honest. He has done well for us and all that but you see a lot of players like him at this level, sort of speedy wide player who blows a bit hot and cold. I think Brentford have just taken a bit of punt on him but I would be surprised if he plays that often but having said that good luck to him.

Baptiste of coarse is the real deal I think and I would hope that there is a decent sell on.

Good luck to both lads and thanks for all they have done for us. You can't stand in the way of progress and to the outside looking in, we are a club that will play young players and not stand in their way if the money on a deal is right. Sad to see them go, but we move on and off they go with out best wishes.

I'd be more gutted if Dickie and Brannagan left - both bigger players for the team in the background. The fact we've got a lot more for Baptiste a year after he was supposed to go is just a fantastic deal.

The only negative is how shizit the timing is for us a club. Well and truly fecked over. However, we move on and look forward to going up.

Agree with all of this but maybe just maybe the last part.

We signed Browne, Kelly and Holland before hand so we must have known we’d lose someone. We’d have quite a large squad otherwise. Maybe they were the backups we signed because we knew Fosu would go.

Why is national media stating 3 mill for both Fosu and Baptiste then? If your saying Baptiste went for around 4 mill?
Because buying clubs like to down play the cost to keep expectations down, selling clubs like to down play the cost so they don't get rinsed when looking at replacements, and national media like an easy story. "Undisclosed but in the region of £3m" meets everyone's needs but is lower than the actual deal.

So sad for us to see Shandon moving on and up, but good luck to him, and thanks for the magic moments: at Newport in the Carabao in 2018 and that goal against West Ham, for example...

Forum has gone to pot again.

Brentford is a good destination for Shandon if we have a clause attached (I assume we must). They regularly sell on for big bucks, and might even be in the Premier League next season.

Meanwhile, we have Holland, Browne and Kelly as ready made replacements. No issues with the sales. I doubt it's 3 million, it's been let out as a rumour as it probably would have been the starting bid.

The squad we have, even with those gone, is easily among the best in the league. Woodburn back in 3 weeks as well, hopefully.

I'm sure we'll throw ourselves into the Deadline Day tomorrow with a good idea of what we want and what we're prepared to pay for it.

Please calm down folks. Let's at least get a few games played before we call for heads to roll.
