General Jan transfer window

A real shame to lose them, especially Baptiste and I really hope we are getting significantly more than 3 million. Guess we were always likely to lose one at least this window. We still have Gorrin, Brannagan, Browne, Kelly, Thorne Henry and Holland though who can hopefully all stay fit

Wonder whether tiger will f**k off with the money
What with a £5m net loss plus since he came here?
But decent players ARE the future of the club! And fans like to have players who will stick around for a spell so as to give the club an identity.
This deal shows total lack of ambition, no wonder KR is not happy.
Tomorrow still to come...Dickie sold too?
Stated that no more going this window

Do people actually realise we don’t own Browne, Holland or Kelly? They don’t soften the blow of losing two key players on the cheap that we did own.
'On the cheap '?OK what did we sell them for
It sounds like circa £5m so hows that on the cheap?
You realise Fosu has a buy out clause of £750k?

I wouldn't mind so much losing Baptiste, if it's for £4m+ (remains up in the air, if we trust what they're saying is true) but surely they should have planned for Fosu knowing his release clause was only 750k.

This has been common knowledge for a long long time, and they say we have no time to bring in replacements? Or anyone?! Surely there should be a long list of potential targets to go out and at least test the waters with, with the money we've just been guaranteed.

The majority of deals are completed on deadline day so why can't we get out there and save this promotion bid?

I know people will say we are a selling club. Ok let’s just f**k about with L1 and L2
NMW what’s he smoking “ I believe we can still go up “ with KR basically conceding defeat in bringing in decent replacement and with Taylor and Brannagan doubtful for Saturday our demise will continue

Both will be a loss to the squad.

We already have the replacement in Nathan Holland for Fosu who hasn't been at his best for a while. Baptiste is undoubtedly a fantastic player with massive potential but we do have plenty available for central midfield especially with players like Woodburn back. And I'd assume a chance for Agyei to push himself.

Keeping Brannagan and Dickie was vital for me, if players were going to leave. And I wouldn't rule out players coming in yet but that is a guess as things change rapidly at this time of year.

The season isn't over yet Bazzer, whilst I get your disappointment.

Less than peanuts? Maybe £5m plus add ons?
Hardly the (no one is for sale unless its an) exceptionaly high offer (for 2 first team regulars) that KR and various bord members claimed/ lied publically about .....so as far as im concerned its peanuts in real terms, any hopes of automatic promotion has been GIVEN away to a mid table championship club.

Dont you think that Holland and Browne were replacements for Fosu?
I reckon it was done based on interest in Fosu.

The most surprising thing is that it looks like we're keeping both Dickie and Brannagan until the summer.
Wait till tomorrow because if the 3 million fee for both is true then if I was a owner of a club I’m thinking I could get Dickie for a million and Brannagan for about 2 I’d be getting pretty excited at potential bargains tbh. The chairman clearly doesn’t even negotiate deals sounds to me the first bid for whyte was accepted and the same with Baptiste and Fosu
