Not that I would/could get over for it, but that's a nice line-up. Probably the best one I've seen for the summer festivals to date in fact...

Used to love going to Truck but went last year and, dare I say it, felt a little old.. seemed to be gearing more for the radio1 demographic. That does look pretty good though. Just heard that Alanis Morissette is headlining Cornbury this year, wouldn’t mind seeing her live.

After the mess of last year, I'll be giving it a miss. Should never have sold more tickets and not significantly increased the campsite, let alone factoring in the weather and the state the entire festival turned into. Knew the vibe had gone when the thefts were being reported. 2000 trees and barn on the farm for me.

I'm not impressed to be honest. Music tastes obviously vary massively though, so I'm sure plenty of people will enjoy themselves.

Reading was another that I personally felt let down by. Again, it's a matter of taste, but those headliners did nothing for me really, and the rest of the line-up doesn't justify the £200+ it costs for the weekend. Couldn't name a single Kendrick Lamar song. :|

I'm going to have to look elsewhere this summer. 2000 Trees looks decent to me. And QOTSA at Finsbury Park is looking very tempting.

Kendrick Lamar is amazing. It’s the rest of the Reading line-up that disappoints - worryingly poor.

It's not a genre I'm overly familiar with if I'm honest.

The quality of the bands is lacking and the booking looks very confused to me. I don't understand what they're aiming for, or why they'd book shitty teenybopper Panic at the Disco before a popular rap act for example. Are Panic even big enough to be that high on the billing? I'm not sure, maybe I'm just very out of touch. But I agree, it's poor, especially when you look back over the years. I noticed Twitter went into a full-blown meltdown after the announcement - always fun to see hundreds of people collectively losing their s**t.

Bit like here on yf after a losing when we leading

The minute corporate types get involved with running festivals (live music) inevitably they get blanded out, in an attempt to provide something to suit all ....problem being corporate input and influence tends to rip the soul of what made an independent festival appealing in the first place. Like what has happened at Truck in recent times

Got to say offering 'djs' from a vast array of dance music genres is another lack of imagination or ability by corperate promoters...... and said djs in the main operate via a bloody computer memory stick.... john lydon nailed it when the pistols split up 'hahaha ever feel you've been cheated ?' Hey ho

The opportunity to have Kendrick Lamar at an English festival is actually something of a coup. His album (like him or not) was on the top of most people's lists in 2017. The rest is very uninspiring though. Never mind going back to the 90s, this was the Reading lineup just 10 years ago:

I’ve also been thinking of returning to 2000 Trees after a few years’s absence. Very much in 2 minds about Truck after last year’s debacle.

What happened last year out of interest?
