League Two Bradford Recall Doyle for cleaning............

Might be more to this.
Swindon are paying x amount of his wages and Bradford want them to pay more or buy him. By recalling him, they are forcing Swindon to make a decision. Pay out for him or risk their promotion aspirations.

The Bradford manager is talking as if he wants Doyle to play for Bradford.

Well he would wouldn’t he. No point recalling an inform player and not to use him. Guess they are confident either Swindon will make an offer or increase their percentage of the wages which in turn will give them more room for movement. Guess it’s a calculated risk, but if they really wanted him they would have recalled him at the beginning of the month.
Id wager he won’t be at Bradford come 1st Feb.

Isnt there a chance that Bradford genuinely want Doyle to fire them to promotion ( they are in the play off position)?

There is but whether Doyle wants to be there is another question. I reckon at the least it is trying to force Power's hand in offering a decent fee to make it permanent as I doubt they'd want to do another loan. This means Bradford get a wedge of money (I reckon £150k minimum considering how important his goals have been for Swindon) on top of losing his wage from the bill. I don't think just losing his wage (or a bigger chunk of it) will be enough for Bradford to loan him to a direct rival for promotion/title.

Edit: The fee is in mind that he is 31 and out of contract in the summer but reflects his importance to Swindon.

Quite, less than a month ago Doyle gave an interview in which he stated he wasn’t suited to them and they are not suited to him and he didn’t want to go back. It’s a ploy to get some money for a chap who has six months of his contract left.

It would really P**s of Swindon if we managed to get him from Bradford to help fire us to promotion.
He doesn’t seem to want to play for Bradford and as we are nearby and higher up the league maybe us

Hasn’t he already played for Bradford this season? Wouldn’t be able to play for us.

He can’t play for us this season RULES and stupid ones at that

Just a thought could we not sign him and loan him back to Bradford just to P**s Swindon of ??

Just sign him and show him a really good time in Oxford, have a laugh with him on the training ground, film him bagging a few goals in practice.

Basically to have him on camera saying "Oh, it's really nice here! Such a professional club, everyone great to be around. I'm just so happy at Oxford!"

That's one interpretation....

…..the other would be that Bradford and Swindon are directly competing for an automatic promotion spot.
If you can weaken one of your competitors by taking away not just their best player - but a guy who's scored more goals than any other two players in the division put together - surely that's something you'll do? I mean, they'll be hoping that he keeps playing well for Bradford, but even if he doesn't, this is a smart footballing move to hurt one of their rivals.

Plus, it is of course hilarious.

It might have escaped people’s notice but Im pretty certain that Doyle has publicly stated that he wants to stay at Swindon. Do we really want a player so clearly warped anywhere near our fine body of men??

He wouldn't get in are team in league 1 let alone the championship so why would we be interested. League 2 is a really poor league this year I think even mackie would be in double figures in that league.

I don’t buy that interpretation. Doyle hasn’t been able to find the net consistently for Bradford as they do not play to his strengths. By bringing him back, they are now paying 100% of his wages and has been said on their forum months ago it gives them no room for manoeuvre in this window.

It was a fake confession, signed under coercion.
