Uncle Firoz

an investment north of what 25-30 million will take some time to recover and it doesn't stop there as would the playing side still be taken care of?...what happens if the investors having secured their income through the surrounding outlets walk away?
Don't think the income from the stadium facilities amounts to much for uncle f does it?
i don't think we can get too carried away until any proposals are known and i do wonder if there would be such a clamour for a move but for the current landlord.

This is exactly what I've heard that kassam doesn't actually earn that much from us playing at the kassam as he still has all the costs with maintenance etc. What I've heard is there could be a lease on the cards where the club have full control, don't pay a rent but have to pay for the upkeep. The same as the training ground lease. The only thing would be kassam owns the stadium and if we added to it like a 4th stand we would ultimately be adding value to his asset.

I think we can be fairly certain that Firoz will never be involved in the club as anything other than an inconvenient landlord. There is no harm in building relationships with him to benefit the day to day running of the club, but it will never go beyond that.

The club is not sustainable in the long term without owning and profiting from it's own home. That either means purchasing the Kassam at exceptionally favourable terms, which we know won't happen, or building our new home. So the latter is most likely and will mean that once and for all we will sever all ties with Kassam. The thought of anything else is just too depressing to consider right now!
OK everyone has an opinion.

There is a more obvious play which is the club take a stake of the stadco as it is, opening up various avenues, but I suspect Fizza won't want that. All or nothing.

I think it's more along the lines of I still own it, you run all of it including the conference centre, car park etc. Ultimately this would be better for us as we can generate income, catering ,use of the conference centre. Use of the carpark. If there is no rent on this its even better. This explains the sudden swerve from the board about a new stadium at the latest fans forum.

I didn't see it as a swerve by the board, it seemed to me they stated what was happening at the moment, not a lot.
But the board are not going to be the investors in any future project, the big hitters so to speak are the people in the background who just pop their heads up now and again, not the same people who are doing excellent work managing the day to day running of the club.

Are these "investors" not on the board?

Yes people like The Builder - Horst Geicke. He’s not going to be a director of OUfC or Reading FC properties for no reason.

I have said more than once on this forum Horst Giecke is here for the build and £ it brings. Probably known Tiger for a good while.

So who are they then?
An interesting turn from you @LondonRoader The norm would be to deny everything as being stated without conclusive proof so, who are these investors who are not on the board please?
I would guess he is referring to Erick who may still have an interest in events despite coming off the board. But not so sure that this could be seen as a negative!!

Well perhaps people are thinking of Pairoj. No idea If this is true but another post suggested he didn’t pass the directors/owners test.

Some clarity is required of who is behind the company with a shareholding in the Singapore holding company. “Knightsbridge ?”

Not sure i understand this.

If Firoz is making money on the status quo, even if not much, why would he hand it over?
If he is losing money on it, why would we take it on?

If we build a 4th stand and we pay no rent, how would the value of FKs assets?
What gave you hears re the Conference Centre?
