So who should we approach or Interview ?

I think we should approach Jurgen Klopp for an interview. Not for the job of OUFC manager but just for an interview as he is such an interesting man...

I'd hope we are looking at some of the young managerial talent in Scotland (if we are going to approach people with little experience in the EFL).

David Hopkin, Jack Ross and Alan Archibald all look to be set for promising careers

I once exchanged on the Wednesday and completed two days after.
The reverse side of the coin...my brother in laws sale going on for six months.
We seem no further forward to a managerial appointment. I really thought that once Clotet was gone the club would’ve been looking for a successor given there was nearly two weeks before the next game. That would’ve given the new manager time to organise his players.
In the meantime there’s been speculation, and seemingly no further appointment.
First Lampard, then Grayson, now Bellamy. I hope we are not going to end up with Phil Brown or Mark Cooper.

Well I must say I am enjoying this house buying thread.

Any chance of the Rob Dickie thread segueing into a discussion on stock portfolios given recent fluctuations to the Dow?

More likely It will turn into a discussion on the merits of trident improving our defence capabilities

Well it will improve our defence capabilities, whether it is value for money/worthwhile is the question?;)

So long as we’re not relying on moushinio to clear it or martin to distribute it, then it could work. Especially if dickie takes his chance on a sub

I know Phil Brown did not do too well with Southend, but did he not have a limited success with Hull City? I am still wondering about the Accrington boss. Done a lot with very little.

Alan Stubbs has had an interview. Certainly prefer him over Lee Clark or Phil Brown but definitely not the best option out there, likes his teams to be quite direct compared to what we are, lump it up field.

Let's not dress it up - his tenure at Rotherham was a total disaster.

15 games isn't much though.

Jack Ross is wanted by Barnsley according to some reports

Was disaster but success in Scotland with Hibs. Was forced to sign a lot of freebies because of lack of investment at Rotherham. If we back him with £ he could be a good manager. Loads of better options out there but it's weather they want to come in.

He had a very good record at Hibernian
W 58 D 19 L 23 Win% 58%
Rotherham on the other hand
W 1 D 3 L 10 Win% 7%

If we can allow him to work like he did at Hibs he could be a very good appointment. See shades of a michael Appleton appointment in Alan Stubbs.

John Coleman of Accrington would be a great appointment. Their budget is tiny and he gets them top 6 L2 most seasons. And they play good football. Phil Brown nowhere near the club please!

I’d like John Coleman. He had a stint at Rochdale and it didn’t work for him. I think he’s in love with Accrington
