Footpath was not blocked for pedestrians was it?Would have been a good idea not to block off the only footpath by the Priory for the place to fly the drone.

They must have initially been taking up more space then because it was nothing like that when I walked pastYeah, 95% of the path was blocked off meaning everyone had to filter passed the taped off section!!
but it meant traffic having to go back towards the stadium roundabout meaning it stopped traffic coming out of the stadium!
Do you mean the traffic from the east stand car park? I would make that no right turn outa there

I agree the sign did look bazaar and funny! I passed about 2.45 they weren't taking more than about 50% of the width but don't quote me on that!
I'm not going to argue about percentages! Good job it was a small drone. I wouldn't be surprised if there is plans to restrict parking on grass with bollards in the future.Pretty much most of the path!
is that the secret place on Pegasus rd ?5 minute walk to secret parking place, home & in the bath in 1 hour 35 minutes.
Worked great for me, there was very little traffic on Watlington Road..... must all have been stuck in the car parks! ? ? ?

For me personally this traffic management system is a disaster as I am fortunate that I have parked in the Science Park for the last 3 years. So not being able to get out of the Science Park and turn right at a roundabout at either end makes me have to go back to the stadium and not only turn around to join a long line of traffic but wait for it all to come out of the car parks before I can join it as some bloke holds a stop sign for 15 minutes, so probably adding 20-30 minutes to my get home time. So I may as well be back in the stadium car park now.
It so happened I was picked up at the stadium on Saturday so didn't have my car, but the person picking me up said no way not again as they were stopped getting to the stadium to get to the pick up point due to the stop go in operation favouring the car park so much.
I don't mind traffic management initiatives within the car park and stadium complex but I see no valid reason why they should affect traffic direction on a public highway (and it seems blocking a public footpath that is well used by fans after a match too). It is worth noting that the science park is a 24/7 operation and science doesn't stop for the weekend for everyone so this football traffic calming measure will affect local business detrimentally too if they can't get in and out of their workplace when they have to.
We've all put up with car park problems for almost 20 years and it hasn't been a reason for anyone to stop going. Doesn't need changing in my view and it is an accepted problem of going to watch Oxford United. I've had far worse traffic experiences at other grounds, in fact we should be grateful that there even is a car park. And MK next week is a £7 rip off to park and the traffic getting out will be worse.
I choose not to park in the breeze block/ bowlplex complex, haven't for many seasons now.....My Sister, Dad n Nephew however do, both my Dad and Nephew having reduced mobility .... at Saturday's match my Sister told me that it was fairly straightforward getting to the breeze block carpark, however the marshalls/ operatives on traffic duty in the breeze block car park had coned off/ made 'no entry' to access the blue badge disabled spaces on the corner of the fence end/ north stand. My sis' got out the car they were all in and moved a cone so they could park in a disabled space- a traffic marshall came over, and was very reasonable etc, in fact, said' sorry about that, ( regarding awkward/coned off access to disabled parking space), it's our first day managing the traffic here, hopefully, we'll learn a lot and things will vastly improve'- I've not spoken to any of the three of them since the match, so don't know how much better/ worse it was for them post-match, in comparison (as yet)?
one concern is the damn carwash which has 'taken out' a number of disabled parking spaces on the corner of the fence end/ south stand .... right next to the access to the VIP etc parking outside the Quadrangle & the Bronze raging ox statue. IMO its ridiculous allowing the car wash to operate when there's a home game, as it reduces disabled parking spaces significantly, as well as from midday to kick off, it compounds the issues of traffic flow - that said I'm assuming the car wash operators have to pay the same slum landlord as we do, and probably quite handsomely, thus want to maximise their income... even though its likely to be minimal in the three hours prior to kick off on a weekend home game?
