To support the lads lets make this a 'bring a friend' game and try and push the attendance to 9000 +. Comment below with how many extra friends or family you will be taking. With the quality of football being delivered week on week they will probably come back for more and more.

Great idea I looked at the sales and it looks atm awful. Let’s see what we can all do to help ?

I’m travelling from New Zealand to visit family and friends so will will be making my first game in 3 years at the Rochdale match. My 11 year old son is the mascot and has never been to the Uk before - I’m well excited . We’re bringing 9 family members who never go to a game so I hope we put on a great show.

Surely what you really meant was that you're travelling from NZ to watch the game, and as an added bonus you get to see family and friends (but only if they consent to go to the game).

THAT's the spirit, and a good model for us all.

Thanks!!

Anybody good at designing posters? Would it be worth doing posters for this game? A bit old school but it would help raise awareness outside of the online world. Would be good to highlight our current run on it to get that more out there as well.

Most people are on some form of social media or another so why not promote the club there too. I appreciate that many want the club to do so much more, but we also owe it to the club to get as many people through the gates as possible and with the form we're in it should be a great game to sell our club.

We should do one of those ultimate support home games that we've done in the past. Players deserve it.

while Im fully in favour of boosting numbers for OUFC matches, with what happened at yesterdays abandoned FA cup 4th preliminary round match in mind, bringing friends and family along should be absolutely fine, beyond that erring on the side of caution may be an idea, as OUFC supporters may not know the character or likely behaviour (at live football match) of friends of friends of friends or very vague acquaintances.

Boosting numbers so every home game is sold out would be great for the clubs finances and many other benefits too, but applying a bit of caution regarding who is invited may also be prudent too

What on earth is this about ? Don’t bring your racist granddad , mother , mate , sister , mate etc ?

no .... its pointing out that friends n family who you know (fairly well-) is one thing, and all so well an good.... but friends of friends of friends/ vague acquaintances may not necessarily be people you'd perhaps choose to invite? Thats all

It hasn't happened before Sarge when we, as supporters, put posters etc up and it hasn't happened when the club have promoted games previously. It may happen but that would be a strange reason that on the off chance something might, just possible, happen would mean the club would never promote a game again just in case.

fair comment @Marked Ox .... it is very probably me over overthinking what happened at the Haringey V Yeovil FA cup match yesterday, ( Yeovil Town FC having no previous incidents of racism from their supporters in the past as far as I'm aware), and how such an abhorrent series of incidents may have resulted in happening.... I'm really not wanting something similar to occur at an Oxford United match , home or away, and certainly not from anyone purporting to be there to support Oxford United

edit - as well as the FACup match abandoned yesterday, Luton Town FC are claiming some of their players were racially abused by Bristol City fans at Kenilworth Road yesterday

Hopefully I persuaded 2 to go today but they are going to the Sunderland game already.
