one 'lucky' non-league/ L2 or L1 club will receive a £36,000 payday for not playing a match in facup 1st round...... imo FA maybe shouldve considered gifting the £ to Bury supporters trust ?

Or given the £36k to the companies & suppliers Bury knocked for money?

They should have done a 'lucky loser' draw, and reprieved a non-league club who got knocked out in the final qualifying round to fill the spot, similar to what they did when Man Utd bailed out on the FA Cup.

It was Darlington who benefited then wasn't it?

A bye would be good as it could give the players a rest and we'd get the cash.
